My son trashed my Carta 2. I’m looking for something he can replace it with. My problem is that I hate phones. I don’t want to have a computer handy to use it, and I want to be able to control it. I could control all the important setting on the Carta for all the time Apple blocked access to Vape websites, I do not want anything that needs to be connected!

Just for clarity since Reddit has a difficulty grasping the concept I DO NOT WANT APP CONTROL!!

Are there any choices other than the discontinued Carta, or should I shop desktop?

I would much prefer portable, and just dabs. I have Portable DHVs that take care of that.

have you seen the jcvap pockety? no app, several configurable presets, all adjustable and selectable through on device screen and controls. I believe there's a thread with reviews and discussion somewhere around here...

Thanks, I’ll have to look at those. My son did manage to replace my Carta2 with a new one right before the deadline.

i have heard good things about the Pockety too especially with those inserts you can try with them. Im not a big fan of stock glass, so i would look at other glass for it too.

I tried one of these at rosin fest they kicked A$$ and were cheap enough id say that's a good middle ground option. another good cheaper option would be the crossing core 2.0 rig as a budget option and the switch 2 of course as the luxury option id see being a good fit. Its recommended to get the sapphire dish add on but you dont have to.
