Creating an MJ based pain management plan. I have questions

My migraines are getting worse and worse over the last few years. They trigger things all over, not just in my head any more.
I have noticed that some strains help, and others make it worse. Also that different sized doses change the effects. In other words, a strain that is helping, will make it worse if I take too much, but it sometimes goes from "not enough" to "too much", never hitting a spot that is strong enough to stop the pain fully before it starts making it worse. Or making me too dizzy.

Anyone that has been focused on pain management (and even better if it's migraine related), that has figured this out, please let me know what your solution is.

Thanks!

So far the best I've found (for me anyway) is adding some CBD flower or isolate to flower or other concentrates that are THC heavy. Indica's tend to help me deal with migraine pain better than most Sativa's, but not always. But, like I said, I need it to work better, without causing ringing in my ears and ramping up the migraine pain.

I rarely have migraines but I use cannabis to manage arthritic pain and neuralgic pain when I'm really bad but it's been a while (thankfully).

the vapman is by fare the most efficient vape when it comes to pain management. It turns any strain into a painkiller.

However, if I use too much in a day I will have migraines. mixing CBD and THC definitely helps to mitigate this. but the best thing you can do to mitigate vaping-induced migraines is to drink a good amount of water all day long. Stay hydrated !

Is that due to it being more conduction than convection?

I had not heard of "neuralgic pain" before. I looked it up, and some of what was described is part of the pains I thought were migraine related. Is MJ your main method of dealing with that?

Check out your dosage of CBD, most people don't use enough. I have seen some success with CBG and CBD oils a 50/50 mix. I make edibles, and tinctures for medical patients, and stress and anxiety are factors in migraines as are diet and rest. CBG has been known as a anti - inflammatory and the CBD helps to relax and reduce anxiety. There are companies that sell the minor cannabinoids , everything from tinctures, to gummies, or flower. Here's a couple of links,

Migraines are so debilitating, I hope you find some relief .

Um have you tried micro-dosing (sub-threshold) m. mushrooms? Helps both as a preventative measure (bi-weekly) and during a migraine.

I also tend to indicas and add in CBD during a flare-up. Purple Mountain Majesty strain has been a good balanced one for me.

I'm not sure where to get any FUNgus that I could trust. I also didn't know it could be helpful with migraines, so I will definitely look into that, but I am not sure I'll be able to find any.

I'm a big fan of purple strains. Just harder to find than they used to be. I may have to grow some again. It still seems like most dispensaries I go to are still very heavy with Girl scout cookie based strains. Those don't work well for me. I always grab GDP, Purple Punch, and other purple ones when I find them.

It's probably because the vapman is a conduction device but I've always found it very sedative.

In my case, neuralgic pain is caused by a foraminal stenosis. The most efficient treatment have been postural physiotherapy so far. Helped by cannabis for pain management and more effective stretching and postural exercises.

Surgery around my necks nerves is not an option.
