Crafty issues (Blinks like it's empty while it's fully charged. Battery swap didn't fix it)

Hi,
After 3 years or so my battery started to fail - didn't hold even 1 full use, so I've changed the battery to the SONY vtc6 which seems to fit by its datasheet. Now, I have a new battery that works for sure - but while the crafty says it's fully charged (steady blue light + show it on the app) it won't turn on. Whenever I turn it on it blinks blue 7 times like it's fully discharged. Have you ever encountered something like that?

I'm attaching pictures of the pcb in case you can find what's wrong:

I really hope you can help, S&B wants 180 Euros to fix my issues..

Thanks!

When I've had issues, which have been very rare, I've found doing a reset works. Press and hold the button for ten seconds.

Hi there!

I'm experiencing the same exact problem @fifo had. I tried to replace the battery with a 2900mAh Panasonic NCR18650PF.
Actually, I bought this replacement battery for my old Crafty which had different slightly different specs, while the battery of my current Crafty is a 3300 mAh NCR18650GA.

here a picture of the OG (wrapped in blue) and the replacement battery (green): and a picture of the battery+sensor packed together:
Now my Crafty blinks blue 7 times even if while connected to a charger seem to be fully charged (and the App agrees), with both original and replaced battery.

Of course, I kept the temp sensor connected (I wrapped the battery and sensor together like the original setup).

@JCat or somebody has any hints for me?

I'm also starting to think about buying the new USB-C version.. which should have a better battery and better charging speed (probably allowing a fast charge with a power bank.

thanks in advance!

Ive got to say that I am not happy with my craty+'s. First one lasted a year and had the loose intermittently working mini usb c connecter.
Got that warrantied for a newer usb C model.
I have to say that im not happy with the newer models programming for the boost temps. Sometimes I vape at 180c, but other times i start at 210c and leave it there until done. With this new model i have, it seems to time out every 60-120 seconds? I can't even enjoy a sesh without having it nag on me to press the button to re start the timer, if i forget, it lowers the temp without me knowing.
I don't think ill buy another S&B product again.
