Last time I looked at glass was in the 60's.
So I am looking at rigs and getting confused.
Example:
I go to http://www.newvape.com/quartz-glass and see their selection of glass. Then I notice what seems to be the same glass on DHgate at much lower prices. Are the DHgate versions knockoffs or are the versions I see at American glass shops the same items with higher prices?

Actually the ones you posted from Newvape and the ones from DHgate are the same, but they are both knock offs of Real US glass that would cost several hundred. The ones you linked are just the same Chinese glass bongs marked up.

BUT most of the much higher priced US glass is different from Chinese glass like the stuff here

Pretty much. If you're going to buy something locally made, buy something you know comes from an artist. Mostly everything else is China glass resold at a higher markup

Yup buy locally or it's all markup china stuff. Some companies order in bigger amounts from china so they can have better quality control which is why they charge more for what looks like to be the same exact product.

Check out ssfg I think they are out of oregon, could be wrong but they are top notch. That's soul shine family glass by the way. And aqualabs is super legit. Used to live near it in Cali. They have a lot of super high quality stuff for what I say are middle of the road fair prices.
