Cbd cannabis: does it need to be decarbed before eating?

hi all,

In europe is legal low thc cannabis (less than 0,6%); there is a strain claiming 26% CBD which I am going to use to make edibles.

Do I need to decarb it as normal cannabis or can I use it without decarb ?

however, some folks find the acidic forms like CBDa and THCa to be useful in their native form.
but for maximum CBD, decarbing will strip the carbon ring and increase the CBD present.

Yes, some people are experimenting with acid forms, like juicing raw cannabis for instance, but the OP didn't mention that. Personally, I have found the acid forms much less effective but everyone is different.

Also, CBD does not decarb under the same time and temperature as THC. If I recall, CBD takes a slightly higher temperature and a considerably longer time.

Last time I did some 1:1 I used 295F for 90 minutes. My norm for THC is 240F for 40 minutes.

That is an excellent point. This is because it has a higher boiling point than THC. Its "heavier" if that makes sense.
