Gear Bubbleman Trinity Tank

@invertedisdead Something out of a prefilled cart. Not even sure what this one was this time around. Its not very strong but they never are to me. I just pressed some hash rosin and some flower rosin. I made a rosin coin out of both and they are freezing now. Once frozen to a shatter like form I will break them into small pieces and drop them in the Trinity tank while still cold and brittle. Then I will let the tanks sit at room temp or slighlty warmer for a day and they should be ready to go. I will let you all know.
A whole day? That's patience!:myday: How'd it work?

The new coils for the trinity xl.

With Stainless mesh to fix leaking issues. Please watch video for other info as well.

Freakin AWESOME! I can't wait! Thank you for working on this as hard as you have been/do! It's gotta be a bitch with all the variables with concentrates.

Loading the tanks was easy with the frozen coins. I just broke them into bits and stuffed them into the cartridge while still frozen. I got about .75 grams in 2 different carts and still had some room to spare. The hits are a little slow but I never had clog issues or anything. Pens/carts are not a preferred method for me so I don't use my Trinity carts often but they still have about .25 grams in each one and work fine. I really only use them when I take the kids to an amusement park.

So I hate to be the bearer of bad news an all... But I've tried the new coils...
They certainly didn't fix the clogging, flooding and spitting for me.
Worked well for about an hour then right back to clogging flooding and spitting.
I personally think sub ohm in this small a tank is really the whole problem...
It heats up so fast it turns any concentrate to liquid in a hurry. The whole tank turns to pure liquid. Customer service told me to vape between 16-18w but then told me to go higher till I got a hit. I got a decent cool hit at around 30w but I think it's just too much for the tiny tank. It heats not only the element but the whole tank as well. Making it flood... Then it spits.... You put it down try to get the horrible taste out of your mouth an come back to it but by that time it has cooled an it was so liquid it oversaturates the coils cools an become almost solid around it and all the air holes.... From then on it is constantly clogged gurgles an spits with every hit .
No cool down hits or anything of the sort help at all.
I'm calling it quits eating hot distillate just isn't my thing I've found out. Lol
As an added bonus I took a day or two to actually get around to reclaiming my distillate out of the the tank, but tank tried to help by spitting it all out the air holes for me.... ☹️ So there goes a g of distillate with real Canna terps in it

Were you using the new heaters? I don't have any Rosin but I wonder if I could just do the same with Shatter. I really want to like this thing, but it has given me nothing but issues. It ends up being cheaper for me to buy pre-fills than to occasionally have the Trinity waste a quarter gram of oil.

I was told they were the newest heaters they had. 2.0 hole size and not even released yet from what I understood. I really wanted it to work just like you. But for pure distillate with a few terps it just doesn't seem to work but my distillate isn't runny at room temp it's pure with just a few drops of real Canna terps at room temp it really doesn't move at all unless you wait for a while . I haven't tried anything else in it. It may work fantastic with wax liquidizer type oils but I don't like adding the extra chemicals to my mixes. And my experiences so far make me hesitant to keep trying.

I believe it was the new heaters with the mesh wrap. It works but its a slow sipper. I did not use it a lot so I don't know if it will eventually clog or flood. I have not used my Trinity carts in a while. I had supply issues and my demand brought me back into rosin only for a while so I had to go back to a LAYG pen for now. Mostly cause the rosin was not as tasty as I had been previously spoiled with. Now I have something I am sure would work but its too good in the Triton 1701 Quartz.

I totally agree, sub Ω is to hot for this little tank. That fat ti wire takes to much power and heats up so much! I suggested they make coils with a higher resistance. I sent the email to Ralph at Uptech. He said he'd pass on the message. Idk why they keep building new coils, trying all kinda diff things, but always the same gauge wire.

They suggested that high of wattage?

I use between 10-12 on the XL tank. Anything higher just burns that oil and produces a really bad taste.

I spent the past week with this unit.

When it works it is a joy to use. I get massive hits that are usually pretty tasty.

However 90% of the time it is clogged. It takes a long power press to unclog it and that unclog hit tastes like shit. After that it gets good. I've found feathering the power button can help.

The heater gets hot way to fast. If you hold the power the button down too long it just spits oil.

Slow draw seems to work best at preventing the spitting.

Picked up a Vapresso Nexus the same week. I have a feeling that will replace the XL for me.

I even paid for the large heaters. The holes are way too high. You end up wasting a 1/4 gram of oil.

This tank is basically a money pit.

Stay away if you value your money and tongue (it will get burned).

Also it took them over a week to mail a freaking tank and they gave me some excuse about a printer.

I hope they come out with an XL 2 that works at is should. HILARIOUS BMAN put his name on this thing.

I couldn't agree more. I was very excited about the Trinity. A "clean" cotton-free oil tank with a SiC heater sounded awesome. But it just in't reliable enough to be worth it. w9 likes to say they make "healthier" vape devices. And I sure applaud them for the effort.

But the stress from trying to get the Trinity to work right absolutely shaved more years off my life than using supposedly "unhealthy" vaporesso coils containing cotton.

You'll enjoy the Nexus a lot more than the Trinity. It just works, with very little fuckery. Let me know if you have any challenges with it, as I've been rocking one for a couple months now.

It seems like they don't even test their own gear they $ELL.

The Triton has issues with cracked heaters that should have been discovered had W9 did their testing.

The SAME thing with the Trinity. Did they even use the XL? Mine clogged on DAY 1.

Does G just sell prototypes now?

Thanks for the feedback on the Nexus. Looking forward to playing with it this weekend.

Yeah i also had a pretty bad experience with the Trinity xl. Never really even got to use it and spent like 50 with them including the new coil they came out with claiming it would help that i never used because its not worth wasting oil when i can use my vaporesso drizzle just fine

I've been going back in forth with my love/hate for this cart. I really like the size of this tank and how easy it is to fill. I had ordered a Nexus recently and those tanks are bit harder to fill with my current sauce. So I've reverted back to the XL when I decide I want a tank experience. I've gotten used to the clogging and don't get oil on the tongue much if at all anymore.

Besides the spitting issue, there is the issue of the excess oil. Once all the oil has turned a dark brown it's not very pleasant to hit. I'm not sure if lowering the wattage would help enough. I think these heaters are great but might be overcooking the oil.

Maybe a future design with the holes closer to the bottom would help the excess. Not sure how if at all the dark oil thing can be solved.

So I'm pretty happy I still own two of these tanks and replacement heaters. They are not perfect. But once filled they work pretty good most of the time and flavor is on point.

I REALLY hope they work on a revision. I feel this tank has potential.

Off to try the Drizzle... :D

I really think the trinity coils are to low ohm. They get to hot. Lowering the power just makes them not produce vapor. They've redesigned the coil several times, but never raised the resistance. I've suggested raising the resistance, several times, thru different outlets...Ralph at w9..here, to G on reddit..never even responds to that suggestion! Never said they've tried and didn't help. G sent me an xl with 4 new coils as soon as they came out...I never responded with a review...because: If you don't have anything nice to say dont say anything..... Anyway, you'll love the drizzle. I've championed it for a few months now.

Edit: I've probably already said this before.lol

Finally loaded my XL tank for the first time. Load consist in a mix of:

- 0.7g of shatter from various trim
- 0.2g of rosin from moroccan kief
- 0.3g of CBD full spectrum Herborizer wax (66%)
- 3 drops of Gorilla Glue profile terpènes (cheap one)
- AND 3 drops of wax liquidizer cause consistence wasn't runny enough

I mixed shatter, wax and rosin with gentle heat and added the terps and the liquidizer at the end in a glass jar.

The result is some solid tasty hits at 14w, no clogging/spitting issues for now but I only loaded it up of 1 hour ago and took a handfull of hits. Thank you rainy day to give me the opportunity to play with the XL, it was sitting unusued since I bought it a while ago since I wasn't very satified with the small Trinity tank. For now taste is better than my Veco I used previously as my tank device.

Very sad W9 is out of business... end of a great company of vaping history.

Dude stop using that tank ASAP!
Let me tell ya why...
I disassembled one of the heaters to try to use the sic heater with another project what I found was pretty scary to me at least... I leave it to your judgement.

Disassembled a BRAND NEW heater from them removed the first "sic" heater... Crumbled in my fingers... Not exactly how sic is supposed to behave right????
Next I took apart a few more now really curious... Got a couple that didn't crumble and hooked them up to a DNA vape mod to see what they ohmed out at.
I dry fired them one time and was horrified to see a thick cloud of smoke from I don't know what, machine oil? I have no idea, Regardless it took quite a while to get the element to heat without offgassing some stuff I sure wouldn't want to be inhaling by the smell of it.

I can't believe G released a device with this issues since he got huge concerns about health vaping... I don't call you a liar @Stoneyk but maybe it's like it's supposed to be... I don't speak about the cloud when dry fired. Peoples claimed the heater was too fast and hot maybe if you fire it dry it blows up...

Is @SamuraiSam could confirm what @Stoneyk is supposing? I know he was a tester for W9 and I expect there was some communications in case of health concerns with the Trinity tank... if not by the company at least by the community here...

ps: just seen you was one of the guys who mentionned the very fast heating @Stoneyk !

For infos I find the TT to taste a lot better than the Veco tank I used previously.

I did not get to test the Trinity tank at all. I got Bubbleman and G linked up, but had left W9 before the Trinity was in R&D or testing phase. I wasn't aware of any health concerns with it besides the silicone gasket to seal the glass, before this thread.

Is anybody get a spare Trinity Tank XL for our fellow member @SamuraiSam like that he will be able to test it...?

Sorry but I only get one I'm using right now, I'm very happy with the performances, still work like day one but I'm not using distillate. IDK if the smaller holes heater I have will work well with thick concentrate like I use right now. Will try with less terpènes cause it doesn't taste great or will stick with wax liquidizer... or will continue with a mix like I did for the actual load.

Will post a WTB in the Classifieds for spare tank and heaters...

Here my suppositions...

SIC maybe a hard, solid thing like used for an enail, or something a lot more fragile like the heat filter disc used in the VaporGenie vaporizers, like a sponge with a lot of small cavities, I think you can break it between fingers without any doubt especially if it's a tiny piece...

I suppose the Trinity's heaters act like a sponge to soak the concentrate in previously to be vaporized. This is increase the contact surface and permits bigger clouds while using low temp... and this is explain why they seems/are so fragile.
Although I will be not concerned about to inhale sic dust especially if the coil was well enough soaked in concentrates previously to first heating. If I remenber well G told us here to no power on the coil if not loaded and soaked with concentrates.

I think it's very, very important to wait between 30mn to 1 and half hour before first heating, it depends your concentrate consistency... I would say 30mn for distillate and runny oil to 90mn for slightly diluted shatter.

Really impressed by taste, clouds and ease of use... I hope my 2 heaters and small Trinity tank will last for long...

I got a decent cool hit at around 30w
Something is wrong here, you absolutly don't need to crank the wattage so high, I use mine actually at 14.5w and got very satisfying clouds, not huge clouds but big enough to stay stealth and medicate in the same time.

If you powered a coil dry with this power you'll probably blow up something explaining the big cloud you saw... imho
