Amen, brother. :)

Pappy, I had an after thought. Again, no idea if this is of any value, but just fwiw you might give this a try, if you haven't already . . .

Put a GonG adapter at the end of the whip, attach it to the down stem of whichever glass piece has the least resistance, add just the minimum amt of water, set the Q on 200c and turned on Fan 3. This minimizes the differences between whip vaping and bong ripping, and so gives you a reasonable baseline. I measured the exit temp from the whip at ~80F (the temp drops exponentially over whip length), and with the fan pushing you shouldn't really need to "rip", i.e., use only what little more than normal breathing pressure is necessary to move the vapor thru 1-2oz of water. The vapor density should be the same, a function of the fan. This may enable you to experiment with differences in inhalation path, route, and depth given that other variables are held relatively constant at a minimal level. And you can experiment with those other variables, too (e.g., dropping the fan speed down will progressively increase how hard you must pull). Anyway, just a thought.

Again, good luck - and do take care.

Thanks, I'll try that. I never use a fan with pipes so will give a shot. But further analysis leads me to speculate my situation is sinus-centric, not lung-centric. The genesis of my problem is triggered when I irritate/injure my palette by locking my nasal passage to contain a lungful. My sinuses get infected and the infection sometimes spreads to my throat and lungs. I can also infect my sinuses by simply exhaling through my nose which I like to do to savor the herb's aroma and taste. I'm afraid I just got hinky sinuses! :uhoh:

A neti pot might help with any sinus irritation, I have started to use one recently and it has helped significantly.
Thanks Eon. On same wavelength. I was looking into neti pots and examined some drugstore variants today! Your endorsement carries weight. :) Just used bong for first time in 3 months and noticed right off I was overloading myself. I inhale a lungful and then overload my lungs by the amount of the clear. The more I think about it I'm sure it's a common mistake.

Bongs feel new to me.... Hope I don't drop mine! (bong humor)
Trying in lieu of Neti pot. will let you know. ;)

I am currently using the vapor bong set up shown as my picture. i have found that the carbed bong such as this tsunami, work exceptional with vaporizers. cleanest hits+ biggest volume = one fun afternoon!:D

I always mainly smoked with my roor, with ice in it. Now I vape 2-3 herbo's bowls a day during week, in the evening I like putting ice with vapor, when it's hot and I'm tired, I like drawing and feeling that fresh vapor flowing in my mouth and chest. Didn't notice any major health related problems, but as already said, this could be age-related :p I'm 26
