Bent or Disk Joint?

Hey all....I am looking at a Mobius drop down. In the choices for both 18 and 14mm...they have another cloice for a bent or disk joint. But they do not show any pics of the different ones.....

So anyone know what the exact diff is? Thanks for any help.

I’d guess that the one called “disc” looks like this picture on The Cave’s site:

The “disc” one is definitely more unique-looking and matches the styling of the Atom / 50A / Binary Matrix. I suspect you’re correct about the stock issue. The people at The Cave are very nice and I’m sure they’d be happy to answer if you feel like giving them a call.

I use the “bent” one with my Clear Matrix bubbler. Neither the bubbler nor the dropdown is anything special to look at but the combination is fantastic in use. The can of the Clear Matrix is 3” wide at the top and this is the only dropdown I have that has enough clearance to fit.

Yea this is one reason why I would want one....I use a short wide can single matrix type and need to move the drop down over a lot because of how wide the can is. So also having the disk one will show vapor production much more easily I think. Plus it is thick and strong as heck looking. I wish I could get one made with an 18 male and a 14 female. I will have to contact the seller and ask.

For those wanting something like the Mobius disk dropdown, EHLE makes one very similar and they’re open to making custom ones to order. So they’ll do whatever configuration you want @LabPong
But of course if you want/need the Möbius-ness to match your existing Mobius piece then this would be less than helpful, possibly worthless, information... :lol:

No need for any branding....just good glass. My rig is a clone so I could care less. I just want a perfect fit in the 18 joint and that sweet low profile disk dropdown. Damm....that is nice.

I've been looking for a drop down for my Clear Matrix knock off for a while, and have never had any luck. I've found some that almost fit but not quite. It's just such a big can, they don't go out far enough before dropping down.

I've seen knock offs of Mobius ash catchers popping up on DHGate, hopefully I can find a knock off their drop down at some point.

Yea...I have seen the ashcatcher ones...but have no need for those. I would luv to find a knock off mobius disk drop down on dhgate too.

But for you I would suggest one person above all. @Rickbirdbarry !
If it's for a clone and you aren't stuck on Mobius, ask @Rickbirdbarry on IG to make you one. they start around $50 for most colors, clear would be even cheaper I'm sure. They have a perfect joint on every one.

For a fat can, I would try a "Swooper" like the one pictured! He can also make it 18mm to 14mm if you like that, I have several that go from 10mm to 14mm

My new piece I bought for me as a 66th b-day present. Mobius Atom with the new version of the disk drop down

Here is the older drop down....in some ways, the new version better matches the MP stem on the Atom...but I liked the treatment at the joint on the older one.

The Cave Smoke Shop got some drop downs in stock about a week ago though they still show out of stock on the website. Also, they has gone up in price!! :o:rolleyes:

That is AWESOME Baron!

I LOVED the aesthetics of my Atom, particularly the mouthpiece... but I ended up getting rid of it after I could not find a suitable dropdown or adapter that would allow me to pair with my dnail. I searched high and low for those Mobius flat disc dropdowns with no success. Gave up on ever finding one about 3-4 months ago.

haha...we are just alike on this...I wouldn't buy the Atom until I could find it with a drop down and wow, it took a LONG time.

Mobius makes bubblers where a drop down would def be highly desired, really any dewar style joint, but don't seem to interested in making the actual drop downs.

P.S. - I think the Cave is sold out of them already...I think they went like hot cakes.
