Nope - I'm staying with the arizers - within the last 9 years I read a lot of bullshit about vapes like "it makes big clouds". Well if You want to get Your furniture high, this maybe the ideal vape. I prefer the size of clouds to fill my lungs only, don't like to waste any stuff, by blowing it in the air.

Don't get me wrong....I luv my airs and argo....but they are not half the medical grade vape for quality and power that my Elev8r, G-43, or Custom Glass Lotus vape are. The biggest reason.....GLASS GLASS GLASS !
When you have a glass oven that has convection heating that has a clean vapor/air path....nothing can touch the medical quality of that vapor....nothing!

Take this from one of many that already have experienced this. I am a medial user for a serious spine issue...I have a lot of neurological and musculature issues. I can pretty much stay off pain pills with cannabis and spine injections for the moment. And having a powerful desktop quality vape is key for me. I could not at all be satisfied with the portables.

But again....you are basing (9 years back to now) all your use on 5 old out of date hardware pieces used in a medical test....not real world experiences....in which there is little to any info that has ever been medically tested....the volcano is powerful....but not a great experience compared to what is available now......even the mighty is lacking big time for several reasons. Things have changes a great deal in the past 2 years alone......you might want try other vapes and see what has happened for yourself.

Be that as it may......I am not saying you have to try this or do that....if you are satisfied with your medication your getting from the arizers.....that is Awesome! But if you contend that the volcano and solo are the best medical dry herb vapes now......your uninformed and inexperienced....that is all.

Experienced? Started in June 2014, now it's June 2019. that are 1825 days of continuous experience or 43800 hours of experience

Took a look at You vapes ... keep them for yourself ...i stay with the Arizers!

If an 9 year old arizer was better, as an 9 year old Volcano and this 9 year old volcano is still called one of the best vaporizers on the market today, what's with the 9 year old Solo? It's still better. What's with the Solo II? Still a lot
better.

By the way there are a lot of things I like about the arizers and a lot of things I don't like about other vapes.

Let's stop this discussion! I found my vapes ... Arizers ... cause out of the effect, they do what I need and do what the most vaporizers cant, especially against Insomnia! Most of the vaporizers will work against pain, but against Insomnia? That'a another story!

You took a look at my vapes i use...but you never tried one of them?

Ok....your fine with what you use and I am not saying what you use is bad in anyway.....I am only implying the actual "vapor" that comes out of the vape you use.....it not at good as the vapor from most of the vapes I use for medical needs.

I say this as someone with a life long history of bad back issues from time of birth. I know what insomnia is and live it.....I know what pain is in all forms....

I am only suggesting you "try" a convection vape that was made after 2016 instead of reading about it...and not even trying it. You might be pleasantly surprised. I use my argo's and air's often, but I do not rely on them for getting to sleep or medicating me when I have nerve/pain surges.

Sorry to make you upset over simple discussion. Hope you have a good day! vape on!

Hi, first of all I'm not upset! But 'cause I retired from work in 2009 (cause of health-reasons) I had and have a lot of time.
A lot of time for reading studys, reviews, userreviews and so on, cause of that I know, what a vaporizer has to do ... for me!
Because of this, convection-vapes are bullshit for me! Why? Read all my posts from the beginning, especially the parts, how to degrade THC to CBN. Than tell me, which convection-vape is able to cook the material with permanent heating?
There are a lot of things why I prefere the arizers, bowl-size, cleaning, ....

I only tested 4 Vaporizers, but I tested hundred-ways to optimize the vaping with those vaporizers: amount of load, temperatures (alone/in combination), to inhale/exhale properly depending on the general lung-function and so on.

No, I really need no other brand of vaporizers, had a look at a few actual hitlists, where the Mighty is on rank No.1 (efficiency 50%) and the Solo II on No.2 (efficiency 82%) :-) :-) :-)

The only problem I have with the Argo, the draw is to hot for continuously use. The only problem I have with the Solo II?
It's not the Argo

I see you did some research but you should try something really powerful like a Flowerpot. Your vaping method targets only one of hundreds of cannabinoids but i will tell you a secret: Your vape degrades thc to cbn when it decarboxilates and your body does it too so technically speaking the more thc you inhale the more cbn you get. The time/temp charts you use as a reference are based on low temp vaping and slow extracting old devices but any endgame device will deliver more and better CBN medication specially if you take advantage of negative pressure in the oven.

Maybe right, maybe wrong, but slow extraction is my way of vaping!

Sorry for not reading way back to understand your experience thus far with MJ....thanks for a quick summary of your use/needs. And just to quick give you an idea where I am coming from....37 years of experience medicating with MJ. I only use my argo with a bubble stem with water. I could not handle the stock stems on it or with the air's.

Now that I see how you want to vape....and having good experience with 2 argos....maybe I can help you.

Nope, it will definitely not!

Well, I allways have a sessionlength of 13 Minutes with 177/178/179/180°C (depends on the strain) after this session, another one with the same material and 198°C - and I sleep like a baby for 6 hours or more.

I do not temp step....but do controlled inhale techniques to ramp up extraction by duration and strength of draw. I always just run my airs and argos at 191C/376F.

Your pretty much extracting everything you can from the load you use. So I can see how much that stress can be with the direct heat from stock stems. I do not hit my argo that hard...for me it a "sipper box" for micro dosing at different points of the day. I also go through water with 90% of the many vapes I have.....maybe a dozen or so. I have sensitive issues with throat and lungs...so I tend to only use the vapes that have the cleanest smoothest vapor quality.

The argo is not that hot for me to handle in my hands like some have an issue with....I am guessing that might be a possible issue for you as well...as far as it being a slight negative to using the argo as you do. With the bubble stem I can hold the whole thing by the bulge in the neck and barley have a finger or part of my palm on the opposite side of the heater.

I use both of these...but mainly the curved top one. I have the wpa's for it...but do not care to use the argo like that...but prefer to use my airs with wpa's on my various rigs. That is the best way to use the air for me.

It seems I have to use the Mighty again Had' an bloodoxygen and pulse test for a week, both are dropping extremely while vaping with the Solo on higher temperature. Cause my insurance has to pay for my medicine in the future, I can forget the less efficiency of the Mighty Medic, which draws are definitely cooler.

The Mighty has it drawbacks, but it works for me, not so good as the Solo, but it works.

One thing everybody should think about: what happens if you inhale? Where has the stuff to go precisely in your lungs? In the upper parts or deep down? Deep down!

Actually, as I understand it, it depends on particle size, not time. Lots of study done no this. "Ideal particle size' (a few microns) makes it deep down, and is absorbed in quantity. Larger particles never make it that far. Smaller ones (sub micron) never impact sufficiently to be absorbed and are simply exhaled again.

Just got my Argo a while ago and I love it for the most part but I don't really understand why they went with the spring pushtop. I find myself never popping it up.
I also find myself really wanting a silicone sleeve akin to the air 1s but with appropriate air holes for the vent or something like the glove for the davinci IQ. Something that just wraps around the unit with the top down and keeps my hand away from that hot corner!
Its a fantastic vape otherwise

Does anyone know the process to designing custom silicone?

:2c:Do you find your Argo runs a bit hot sometimes. Then

You should consider adding a few taming glass beads to cool the beast.

Thanks for the tipp, but I just ordered
MV1-CS-Stealth-Front.png
the Ghost MV1, will give this vape a try, cause it's cool. May not work in the evening against insomnia (I'll will know it soon), but during the day, against pain it will work and a lot of reviewers and users report to inhale with this is cool.

Looked at the Ghost since it was anounced, but a wiseman waits until the problems with new vapes were solved
It seems so, as if they did it. It will be a little more work to clean the device, but on the other hand, this device fits my needs: capacity around 100 mg (Santa Cruz Shredder), capsules (instead of stems) and I can store my two prefered temperatures. So I hope it's an alternative for me.

Cause my insurance lost in court, they have to pay my medication in the future ... no need for high efficiency anymore. Also they have to pay for a vaporizer, not for the Ghost - it's not accepted as medical device in germany - but they will pay for the mighty medic. Than I can compare the Solo, the Mighty, the Solo II, the Argo, the Ghost MV-1 and the Mighty Medic.

Bullshit ... I will take the vape, that's right for the moment and the medication ... during the day Ghost or Mighty Medic, at night the Solo II or the Argo ... depends on my throat. Still coughing sometimes and my throat is burning (a little).

But that is not the point! The point is, what comes in first and cause of this deepest? A lot of hot air or the stuff?

Sorry, I guess I didn't understand your point.....not sure I do now?

If you want to avoid 'extra' hot air, stick with conduction vapes like Solo/Air/ArGo for sure. And hit them slow?

Convection vapes mean hot air, and lots of it. Hitting your ArGo fast/hard is going to give more volume, but it will be more dilute (thinner) than if you sipped at it.

Am I closer this time?

??? conduction vape like the Solo/Air/Argo ???

I got the Solo in 2014, the Mighty in 2016, the Solo II in 2017, the Argo in 2018 and ? they all are convection (with a little bit of conduction). The coolest is the Mighty, than the Solos than the Argo, but hopefully not neccessarily the Ghost will be cooler as the Mighty. I will see ... hopefully on wednesday.

And the point with the air is? It doesn't matter if the air is hot or cool, if you get only air at the beginning of your draw, this will go deepest in your lungs ... no space for medicine left ... it will only fill the upper part of your lungs ...

Yes, there's a big rhubarb on the topic, IMO it's definitely conduction. Heat soaks are a conduction thing, as is good battery efficiency. Convection needs heating air hotter than vaping temperature (so it can give up energy by cooling some and still make vapor). Typically well over 1000 degrees, not available with Solo/Air/ArGo.

Here's an easy test. Put a fresh stem in a hot ArGo and let it sit a minute or so (conduction, but no possible convection), instant vapor? Then do the same fresh stem hot vape with the stem not completely inserted in the cup and puff away....convection with no conduction.....and no vapor?

For conduction vapes you need a fine-grind to get them work properly, but I'm using the Santa Cruz and it works perfect with the Solo, the Argo, the Mighty. Like I wrote before, there is a little bit of conduction in the Arizers, a little bit less in the Mighty. Let's stop this conversations, I think we might have different experiences!

Obviously fine grind is not necessary, it only helps some? Seems we do have different experiences, mine are based on true convection vapes like T1, Evolution, and Cera from TV and Elevape SV. All of which have incandescent heat sources, no heat soak effect and poor battery life. I don't now Mighty. Firefly, I believe, is also convection. Again with incandescent heat source (hence the name)?

I agree I'm not likely to change your mind here, and since my opinion is deep and rooted in Physics (and I've been 'beat up' a lot) it too is not likely to change without evidence from repeatable experiments.

That is I agree, enough has been said.

I will see, not sure it fits my medical needs completely, but I give it a try.

I was a beta tester for 4 months......only 1 thing was a negative to me....I will discuss with you after you try it for yourself.

In keeping with the thread theme..... I am still using my argo often with the curved bubble stem....I quite enjoy using it this way. I can keep my hand off the heater area by holding the whole thing with the bubbler almost...in fact you can.

I've noticed something curious that I'd like to share in case it might be helpful to someone else. When vaping ground bud in the Argo, no matter how little or low temp, I get very jittery and anxious compared to how high it gets me. But when vaping whole buds, no matter how much or high temp, I can get very stoned without any of the jitteriness or anxiety. I've tried this experiment with Alien Dawg and Amnesia Haze. I nearly gave up on THC completely but vaping whole buds has been a real game changer for me. Plus it's so convenient not having to grind weed, and the airflow is much better too. I haven't noticed a huge difference in how quickly I get through my stash either.

I think this effect has something to do with how whole buds vape vs ground bud, and also the ratios of active ingredients in whole vs ground bud. Maybe one day there will be scientific research done on this so I am either confirmed correct or confirmed crazy lol.

Hello there
I was wondering if fury 2 water bubbler works with the argo.
By the way, do you know if there is a software update for the argo.
Thanks in advance
