one of my fave shows right now & i dont watch much dramas. my cousin first put me onto this show when he unloaded the full 1st & 2nd seasons onto my hard drive. he gave it to me and told me it was about a high school chem teacher who started cooking meth to pay bills...i thought that sounded cool enough. then he says "im kind of frustrated that i started watching it because you keep waiting for something to happen, but nothing ever does". so i was reluctant to start watching it...
he also gave me the 1st 2 seasons of sons of anarchy on my hard drive & told me that it was much better & he was hooked. so i started watching sons of anarchy off the hard drive...i seriously tried for like 6 episodes and just couldnt get that into it.
...so then i reluctantly started watching breaking bad and just loved it. reluctant because my cousin told me that id be stuck watching something for the sake of finishing the story, even though its not interesting...but thats how i feel about sons of anarchy but i dont feel like finishing the story...havent even watched the full 1st season of sons of anarchy.
but i really didnt get what he was saying until i started watching boardwalk empire. i was totally psyched for it & have watched every single episode...and am waiting for the next season eagerly, but not really satisfied yet for some reason. i guess i compare it to the sopranos, which i loved from the start. my favorite thing ever was the episode where they killed big pussy & how that all went down & what led up to that and stuff...hooked until the end after that. but i havent had my "moment" with boardwalk empire yet...
anyone else get that feeling where you wanna like a show & keep watching it & giving it chances but at the same time are still not thrilled with it? i guess my way to relate it all together is to say that my cousin was like that with breaking bad - which interested me from just his brief description of it. i really love where its at right now...theres so many angles & possible outcomes at this point of the show that im too curious to find out...i was kind of pissed when they took a long break between seasons a while ago (it seemed long - maybe it was normal cuz i was all caught up finally...but it seemed long enough to where i kind of forgot the details of where it left off at previously, so thats why i feel like it was an unusually long break). anyways does anyone think that sons of anarchy is worth following from the beginning again or not?
who is your favorite character on breaking bad? id have to say it is jesse for me at the moment...i like seeing the underdog showing glimpses of leadership every once in a while.
i also really dig how they made walt a relative to a DEA agent!!! how great would that hookup be in real life?!?!?
i like how walt makes so much money that its actually a problem!
one last thing: i wish that chicken restaurant on the show was a real place cuz i so wanna eat there just once...
