Alternative to Pelican cases

Hi there!

What would be an alternative to pelican cases with plastic foam? If we aim for organic materials. Meant to carry mini glass rigs.

Wooden box with maybe some removable cushions or thick leather inside?

I'd like to hear some ideas.

harbor freight has pelican case knockoffs in multiple sizes … they work well

Plastic foam is general going to be organic, unless you’re dealing with some seriously exotic polymers. And it’s going to have a hell of a lot fewer chemicals leaching out of it than tanned leather, of all things…

I was just introduced to nanuk cases by a friend. made in Canada and the Nanuk-R line is made with post consumer resin. not organic materials but maybe less bad?

If so, go for cork on the inside.
Either machined wood lined with cork sheet or machined plain blocs of cork.

A few cork blocks could hold the glass secure and away from the hardwood.

Or just go full cork :
