I am just using it natively, no water. I love it so much because it never gets too hot for me like my TM2 (Which I also love).
I use native too
I meant how do you use your ALP lol
Temp, session mode, on demand, strong draw, slow draw?

On demand 464 and a decent strength draw rocks
Tastes amazing and hits hard with nice clouds (and perfect avb)

The TM2 has had my eye also
But so far the ALP used as described above is brilliant
It really is a mini baller/modded plenty for me - hits and flavour

I also love my eds stem for WS as a WPA but I use dry
Slightly extra cooling and the round MP means I can hold the ALP on it's side as it sits naturally in my hand as I take a draw

I dont need a jhook
I already tried that but it's better native and smooth enough
I have the wpa for the round mp so I can easily and naturally hold the ALP in my hand sideways while vaping instead of holding it flat
It's smooth enough as is dry without a jhook even at full temp on demand

Imma put balls in my glass stem if vapor is too hot. Or thats the plan at least. Mines still on the way.

It has not knocked my dynavap out. Still use it regularly, just not as often.
I kind of expect the same. I have several good electronic vapes (splinter, V3) and a good log. And I still return to my vapcaps. they’re just special. But I wanted a better tasting “walking around” vape than the V3, and I’m hoping the ALP is it

Charging up now…

I wasn't having a go at you mate, no need to feel offended
I was just saying that I tried the jhook and mentioned it earlier in posts that I liked doing so
But have found that I don't need to do so and prefer not losing more vapour to the glass
I use the WPA for a round mp so I can hold the ALP naturally
I wasn't calling you silly mate at all - the jhook makes for a nice smooth hit that's for sure

Definitely don't think you'll need to add anything to make it cooler, it's already one of the coolest vapes I've used.
I found this, I considered adding balls to the glass tube until I tried it
Then I decided it would add more to clean and wasn't necessary in the end

I found the v3 doesn't hit as hard as the ALP
It takes two dv to equal one in alp (hit/high wise)
In the end I found my dv with the wand IH was better than my log before I got the ALP
I occasionally when feeling like a change break out a DV now, but it has become the back up not the go to

Not sure what features you are looking for from a vape though
Yeah, if you are looking for heat I would pass. I love it because it isn’t hot.
It's not really about what features I'm after in a vape. This vape had features that interest me enough to consider getting it, but the one thing that had me leery about it was I couldn't find one single person that doesn't say pretty much what Danez is saying. And since that's the one feature I don't like about it, I figured why not ask because I wanted to see if this was just "honeymoon" talking, or if people really did, and still do, think that this vape puts out cool, smooth vapor. It wouldn't be the first time people, including me, go slightly over the top with positive things to say about the vape they just purchased. ;) But hey, I guess not, lol, apparently this vape really is the bees knees when it comes to cooling, lol! Trust me, I realized even while typing it how "different" this question was. I mean, who the heck's looking for less cooling, right!?!?!

Yea I still think you have smooth and cool confused
I never took to the idea - but there's a few ppl that like warm water in their bongs as they say the steam smooths the hit
That is far from cool - but apparently smooth so you don't cough

Do you want a vape that makes you cough?

If not the ALP at 464 is warm on the throat but smooth enough inhale - my nephew coughed on it the other day though so there is that

Still don't know what you want from a vape

As for the amp draw discussion
I got a reply via email from the brilliant communication I get there
No secrets from this person about specs

Apparently it is 1a - although I think that must be a typo and it is 10a
I have asked both for confirmation that it is 10a (or actually 1a)
And I have also asked is it okay for my warranty if I use another battery of known quality brand that uses the same specs

Waiting for the reply to this last email
Great to know they are happy to actually answer any questions there

I got a reply re battery usage via email
Such quick and helpful plus informative communication via email

The answer to can we use a different battery as long as it matches the factory specs without affecting our warranty is a YES
They didn't confirm if it was 1a or a typo and actually 10a ( I believe it will be 10a) but I have sent another email to confirm this

But it has now been confirmed that we CAN use other batteries if they meet the legacy battery specs and we still keep our warranty
If anyone is concerned about this - email them yourself so you have written confirmation for the future in case of a warranty submission

My first ALP the gold plate started wearing thin on the sides of the bowl and showing silver - I only ever clean it with moistened quips after a bowl (an ISO qtip occasionally)
Via email I was told that the engineers said it is still safe to use and that I shouldn't "scrub" the bowl when it is still hot
I only wipe with q-tips never scrub
I feel my vape is still safe and it performs the same so was happy with this explanation - a day later I received a new ALP in the mail - brilliant service and they didn't even say it was coming - they also let me register both units for warranty so they are both valid for repairs in the future

Just email them if you need a response and do not wish to wait or need information regarding the specs or any issue at all
I find I get a quick and extremely helpful and informative service from them via email - whether it be needs for my purchase, or safety and material questions or about battery specs, they have always responded quickly, openly, friendly and informatively

EDIT
Not sure if I mentioned earlier but they also said dosing caps are due in November

Hi, my name is Pukka and I'm a VASoholic. Welcome to the club 🙃
Right? VAS is real.

But seriously, I've only ever owned conduction vapes, OG Solo, Argo, Dynvap M + ISpire, Davinci IQ2. I'm want my first convection vape to be the best available and this one looks like it's in the running from what I've been researching.

Just chiming in, had mine for a couple months now and it is still my go to daily that I carry with me. Even though I’m not a huge fan of dosing caps it really is the last piece to make this a perfect daily. If it weren’t for the tiny little screen getting clogged so easily with my sticky icky this would be a 10/10 as is.

Then I decided it would add more to clean and wasn't necessary in the end
I initially bought a bunch of 4-6mm balls...ugh, didn't fit. Then I bought 3mm. After 2 days, I'm taking them out. They seem to restrict the airflow a tiny bit. Airflow is a big priority for me, so that's out.

I have found that with fine-moderate ground herb, using the on-demand at 464 will give you more than I can handle. This vape is not the limiting factor on hit strengths. It will put out more than I can handle, and I use to pride myself on clearing the biggest bongs when I smoked. Now, if I could just open up the airflow just a bit more, I'd have the perfect vape...

As Gary mentioned recently, the dosing capsules are in mass production and will be available soon. I'll be among the first to order them, as I'm a microdoser.

By the way, I received email notice today that my Pro has been delivered to my local UPS store (can't receive deliveries at my obscure rural address). Because it's Saturday, they closed seven minutes later. But I'll pick it up first thing in the morning; am so excited. :D
