Today I Returned a vaporizer for Exchange and asked for the Airvape Legacy Pro for that exchange .
The store manager said it’s what he uses and that I will be Very Happy with the ALP . Also that it fits the portable category well.
Chomping at the bit to “Have & To Hold” and cure VAS for some time. ? ?

What mouthpiece do you reccomend for the the legacy pro? Mines loose

They will send a replacement if you contact them
The OG legacy seal is slightly bigger and fits better
Most people have contacted Apollo and they usually swap it for you
I made a note in my order and they did it for me as I had read about it here

Sorry if this is not the place but I feel that I am doing something wrong.

The ALP is my first experience with an herbal vaporizer. I have had it for 6 days now but something certainly feels wrong. I have tried the device from 350 degrees up to 425 degrees over multiple various sessions. The first small hit or two seem okay but by the third-ish draw I get a strong plastic-y chemical-y taste. This continues through the rest of the bowl making it not very enjoyable at all. For further info I am only using session mode. "Premium" medical flower.

I want to continue using the device but I need to get rid of that plastic taste to keep from going back to combustion. Please if anyone has any pointers I would love the assist. I am not ready to give up on this device. There are too many positive reviewers here so I am sure I must be doing something wrong.

Of all the different testing styles I tried I never had this problem with the ALP
If it is truly a plastic taste you are getting I would contact Apollo by email, they have always been extremely accommodating to me there
I don't get any taste but clean vapour with this vape and I have had robot fart with others - the flavour is less terpy after the first few but I get no bad taste at all
I only use on demand mode now but throughout getting to know the vape I used many settings and session mode temps
I'd try reaching out to them via email

The comment "Premium" medical flower is funny...probably have visited 25-30 different Dispensary's. The best Premium flower ranks as SWAG compared to what I can grow myself.
I had the1st OG Legacy in FC and now the Pro...NEVER EVER any Plastic taste...and use Session 10 mins 80% of the time !

Not sure if that selection would be my top 4 and definitely disagree about taste between the ALP and the mighty
ALP is way tastier and all convection with no plastic flavours
At first I was underwhelmed by the clouds, but then I played with temps and modes and found it works great, just up the temps a bit
I haven't tried a pax so can't say there - definitely would have a different list myself though lol
I also get way more bowls with a battery than most other vapes - especially for the power this has
It's a mini baller/plenty the way I use it
I get heaps of bowls way more than 4 using on demand at full temp and we can change the battery out

Great sale price though

Lately I've been using mine with an eds glass stem for the WS held on by a cut Fat MP for dv as a wpa
Goes well with a J hook, but I have just been using it as is
The round exit is a nice MP and I can hold the ALP as it sits naturally in my hand while drawing, while on its side or at an angle
Feels more natural and easy to use/hold while on the lounge or whatever and adds a little extra cooling

Hanging on this dosing caps to be ready lol

How does one go about requesting the "tighter" mouthpiece for the AirVape Legacy Pro? Do I email them before / after ordering? Do I add a note to my order? Any other general accessories worth having for this vape? I do plan on buying an extra glass stem.

I don't have one but from following this thread you can message @Gary-Airvape on here for the tighter mouthpiece. You maybe able to get one adding a note to you're order but I'm not 100% sure on that.

From what I understand is that All of the NEW ALP's will have the Tighter fitting MP !
Personally, just made the MP exchange from my OG Legacy.

Wood or bamboo mouthpieces (using the og rubber and screen) if you perfer the feel, screen and seal sets (duplicating the extra bag), maybe an extra door ... I generally try to get at least 1 extra set of consumables because I'm all thumbs and 2 of anything glass because I will break it.

When mine is hot sometimes if I push the bottom in the right spot with my thumb there is a small "click"
Not loud though, and not when cold or just warm

I mean, you got an answer, you quoted it: "The problem is that people will use high temp with dry herb, which will combust, giving a bad user experience." I'm sure he will mention it to the engineering team as he said, but don't hold your breath. It's primarily a dry herb vape. It can already handle concentrates a bit better than many other DHVs, but that's just not what it's built for, and not what they're going to optimize it for, especially if it's at the expense of its performance with dry herbs. You want concentrates on the go, pick up a Boundless Terp Pen or something like that, they're like $30 and beat the pants off trying to use concentrates in the ALP or most any other DHV.

don't need condescending comments. why would somebody presume to talk for Gary? Alp is advertise to do do both products. i know all about devoted concentrate pens and devices. I want all in one device and is why i bought this ALP.

It is an all in one - it just isn't a dab device
There a few devices that claim to do both
But none can do both well - if it dabs, the weed side usually lacks, if it vapes weed, the dab side usually is a little wanting
The ALP is better than the mighty or edge or xmax pro for me with the liquid pad - but it isn't what I use for trates,.I love it for weed though and amd satisfied for trates (it did better than I expected tbh)

Nice to hear though that next year maybe there will be an updated version
Hopefully it does not affect the weed side

EDIT
When I say I am satisfied on the trates side - that is to say for what I expect from a weed vape with trates - it outperforms some others here by a tiny bit
But I am not satisfied with it for my trates for dab style hits - I use other vapes for these purposes
