I have eyed this vape so many times, had it in the cart and never pressed buy. 2 for the price of one was too good to not purchase. I have a friend that I want to get into vaping I figured this was a good place to start. Also looking forward to the new version when it releases. Do I get a discount on 2 new devices since I technically purchased 2 AVLP's??? Just kidding.

Also, I am sure this is frowned upon but I wanted some dosing caps to try. So I made a 2nd order to buy the accessories kit. Wouldn't allow me to use both discount codes in one order. Two separate orders it let go through with 2 different discount codes. Had to pay shipping twice but was still cheaper in the long run to get the loading tool, dosing caps and case. Looking forward to finally trying this vape out.

Congratulations...I am a huge fan of this vape myself. I have about four of them...and my kids take them and do not clean them. I get angry. So, I get them back and I go ahead and give them a bath.

Truly an excellent vape...first and foremost the taste is undeniably extraordinary. I still would like better air flow and a bit of an easier way to clean under the hood. I understand that there is going to be some improvements...and I cannot wait to take out my wallet.

I also, wanted to say that the customer service is truly of high caliber...when you have an issue like the one you had...just reach out to them and whatever the problem is-they will solve it! I can attest to that as a fact.

One thing that I recommend obtaining along with the other things you purchased is the 'case.' It is of high quality and fits the vape perfectly.
IMHO

Anyway, CHEERS! Enjoy your ALP...it would be very hard not to.

Yes, I purchased the accessories package that has the case, loading tool and dosing caps. That's what I was saying I kind of "cheated" their system. I made two separate orders so I could use both discount codes (GIFTOFLOVE, VDAYBUNDLE). As it would not allow both discount codes on the same cart. It's probably frowned upon, but I did use the same email address for both orders, so maybe they refund my shipping. Or maybe they refund my accessories since I kind of loopholed using both discount codes.

I just responded to the verification email that came from the email address you mentioned. Appreciate the information. I decided to do it as I only got one tracking number (although I technically had two different orders and order verifications) and only for the accessories not the AVLPs. Wondering if they combined both orders and shipped in the same box. Either way I kind of "gamed" the system so if they charged me for shipping twice I am fine with it as it was still cheaper then buying the accessories without the discount code.

I have also learned to become patient with vape purchases, as I think the majority of people (definitely me) have got so used to 2-3 day shipping from Amazon etc. It sounds like I am in good hands here though so I will be patient with responses, shipping etc.

***got a response already! They were shipped, will be here tomorrow. Accessories must have came from a different warehouse. Saying Friday delivery but snow storm coming and usps.
Main point is everyone was on point customer service is excellent.

Agreed. I love my ALP and I haven't got another vape since, but I really want the ALP V2. At the very least, I want some sort of teaser about it.

I can't remember if it was mentioned or not, but I really hope that the dosing caps are compatible with the ALP V2, or if they're not compatible, that they release new dosing caps with the V2 launch.

I just wanted to send one more update about air vape customer service. When I edited my message above I had like the automated email that must have got delayed showing tracking info. I also received a more personalized message from a cs representative later yesterday. Providing tracking numbers for both packages and explaining how they shipped from different warehouses.

Everyone was correct they have fantastic customer service. Actually got the 2 AVLPs today and the accessories may get here by the end of the week, if this storm coming doesn’t slow it down. May report back later tonight or in the week after I test this thing out.

Picked up a lightly used AVLP from the classifieds a while ago. The one I got was in really nice condition, we've been using it more and more lately. It's a really capable vape. Definitely glad to have it as it can kill a good sized bowl quite quickly which I think is good for medicating when needed.

I've been using the capsules for easy loading and easier cleaning. Got some good quality bristle pipe cleaners yesterday and gave the bit (you know the one I mean) a good clean out. Pretty happy with how it went.

Look forward to checking out the next iteration! I would probably change the position of the button though.

EDIT: I noticed the Steampunk Edition is still available on airvape.eu @ €219.

Well tried this thing last night after a wipe down and burn off. I will give a quick review because overall I’m pretty impressed, especially the price point I got it at. I also feel this thing is overlooked a lot.

This thing is very small IMO. Looks very nice and well put together. I am personally not a fan of the cloth, it collects extra bits of stuff particularly herb as I laid it on my tray to load it. It’s pretty, I just feel it will be hard to keep clean.

To the fun stuff. This thing just effortlessly spits vapor at all temps and seems to with varying load sizes. I don’t have many vapes to compare too, but in my opinion the oven is on par or better than the other two battery powered portables I have. I am going to compare slightly as it’s part of my learning/VAS journey. I got the Venty a few months ago, I run it at stock temps and temp step when flavor runs low. The AVLP at those same temps is way more powerful IMO. Ran my last bowl down at like 325, then stepped to 360 and finished off in the 400s for one or two hits. I felt this was closer temps as what I use my Venty at. The abv came out very dark like TM2 dark, beyond anything the Venty has ever done. I say this as the Venty helped me learn to use my TM2 in other ways. Like running the TM2 down at 2-3 on the dial for wonderful flavor and sipping. This AVLP is very versatile I believe. Didn’t get the WPA but I imagine it would blow clouds with a water piece. At the higher temps where I had my first bowl 355 temp step to 380ish then a few hits on 410 it rips through the load. Air restriction is fine for me, stock as is. I could see how some might want more.

To the “bad”. I don’t have the loading tool or dosing caps yet. I feel one or the other is probably a must and both is best. Trying to load and actually keep it in the bowl can be a struggle with the larger scoop I have (I just haven’t got a small scoop yet). The microdosing disk was frustrating, loosened it a little and then ran a bowl. Went to clean it with a brush and it spun right off into my big abv jar lol. The bowl, silicone and microdosing disk all get pretty sticky after 2-3 bowls which i only had 3 of varying sizes last night. Without dosing caps I would guess most run an iso qtip around the bowl area every few loads? Overall it’s nothing crazy “bad”. I could just understand if my memory serves me correct, how this vape got a bad rep for cleaning because it didn’t release with the loading tool or the “good” dosing caps. Still very manageable, I just feel like the loading tool will make the experience way better.

IMO this is a very versatile vape. Tons of power. Can be toned down for a sipper. Vapor is pretty tasty, definitely smooth and warm but I wouldn't say hot. Not that I use my vapes outside the house, if I did this would be my go to with dosing caps. So small, powerful and looks durable, style points as well. I think a lot of people have slept on this vape. If you can dump the load after it’s spent (which I do with all my vapes) the cleanup is not terrible. With dosing caps and/or the loading tool it’s probably the perfect on the go vape in my limited opinion/experience. I can understand people’s frustrations but to me all devices need to be emptied hot, and all are unique in cleaning. This one will probably be a little more cleaning than most, but I feel more frequent “quick” cleanings are better for the AVLP.

Now, to some questions. I don’t want the dosing disk, do I need a screen or dosing caps yet to run without it? To keep the flower in the bowl? Also what’s the consensus on the side screen before the corner and glass path? Air flow is acceptable to me so just leave it?

Can you sandwich concentrates with flower or not recommended? I do this with my TM2 in a bong upside down and really enjoy it. Or better to just use the pad or some other method like vape cotton etc and pure concentrate instead? Just don’t want to mess up the heater. For some reason I struggle to get out and use my core 2.0 rig. Just prefer the ease of something else I use frequently then getting the core out occasionally when I want a dab.

I also need to browse the manual, to change the timer and possibly see how on demand works. Then browse this thread more.

Cheers! So far very happy with this purchase. Going to pass the second AVLP to a friend and hopefully convert him from combustion. This thing seems easy enough for a new user to enjoy.

Congrats on your purchase! And it was a great deal as well! I still have a lot of love for the AVLP as it was my daily portable for about 2 years until the Solo3 (and others) came along.

My suggestion is to always use the capsules. The biggest drawback with the AVLP is cleaning and using the capsules keeps things much cleaner for longer without sacrificing taste. You may need to raise your favorite temps by about 10-15F to account for the extra metal to heat though.

Once you are using the capsules, it's easy to remove the microdosing disk and also remove the little side screen. It will make your airflow even better with less cleaning. The best way to deep clean the worst areas in this vape is to use an ISO soaked pipe cleaner in my opinion. I used to do a quick wipedown of surfaces inside the vape after every use and only do a deep cleaning once a week. The capsules make everything better.

I've sandwiched concentrates with flower inside the capsules and everything stayed clean and worked well. Just don't overdo the concentrates and risk having oils spill out of the capsule.

I never messed around too much with the on-demand mode as the session mode was my preferred way of using it but it does work as advertised. Enjoy!
