Try getting your hands on the LSV transfer wand, so its all glass. Vitolo has a picture somewhere doing that on his SSV On my DBV, I was using 1 o'clock until my curiosu ass decided to see what the knob looks like pulled off, only to realize its not notched or anything so the setting can be...

For stealth I cut teh bottom off a 20oz pop bottle. Slide the Solo through the bottle with the straight stem, and only 1/4" sticks out the top. Just have to remember to turn the bottle upside down when hitting it to simulate drinking something, looks strange drinking something when its upright...

Wow didn't check this thread for 2 days and there were almost 8 pages added I have the M1A, no probs yet in 3 weeks, probably vaped 50 bowls, maybe more I like the PA as well, don't have to charge it as often but I also think it'll prolong the life of the battery The Solo's battery on my...

Try getting a better seal, my Solo will milk my 12" tube with ease .5" stainless steel screens are also needed If you cant get a good enough seal, go to home depot and get a 3/8" rubber grommet I've been using the stock stems since April and they provide more than enough airflow so I...

I have some stems to clean, don't know if I can do this at home as it'll make the place reek making hot chocolate Wonder if I could do this with a microwave? Heat milk up to a simmer without it sizzling out of the cup, should work I usually just ISO clean and then evap but it can get messy...

Just bought a DBV about a week ago and it doesn't have that clip pictured above. Its basically just the shims that hold the heater cover in place. My heater cover is very snug though. I wanted to move the element down a hair as it was very close to the glass and I had to finesse it a little...

You can pass the Solo as either a portable battery pack or a portable heater pack (i.e. hand warmer, etc). You can also say something stupid like its a medical condition I don't want to talk about. I usually put it in a drink cup or I cut the bottom off a 20oz drink bottle. Tuck the Solo in...

When my stems are dirty and nice and hot, I've heard the oil residue making noise Either cleaning the stem or using the stem when its cold removes that noise.

The DBV is waaay better than the SSV. I suggest you start reading at page 1 or google it

I can confirm it works as I tried it last night. 15amp fuse in my car is for the cig. lighter and clock, and I had a 150W power inverter I plugged into the cig lighter, and the DBV did infact work flawlessly with no problems.

Thanks for that number, I'm assuming its 110v, but that would only mean .22 amps? That can't be right. Definitely right that the Solo draws 45W. Do you guys think it would work with a cig lighter circuit with a 15amp fuse?

Hey guys How many amps does a DBV use? My Solo for example uses 5 amps when using the power adapter. I wanted to get a DBV but may sometimes need to use it in the car with an inverter, so wanted to know the amperage rating before taking the plunge. There may be something printed on the...

.5" stainless steel screens locally if possible. I buy mine at a headshop the .5" are slightly too big, either you can just push them down and shape them with a small tool, or cut them and drop them right on. I've done both, too lazy to cut now, just push them in and straighten them out with...

Whered you buy it from? Some vendors take care of the warranty, other times you have to send it ot Arizer You're also in the UK so it would have to pretty clean to be shipped overseas I agree on having an alternative before shippign it out

For a second there I was thinking "I swear I just typed that" but I guess it coudl be in my head, until I saw your reply and I'm sober...not good Its been a tough week smoking out of a bowl as my Solo is getting replaced Only tip is use a proper small screwdriver so you don't strip the...

I agree, if you unscrew the top cap you'll see the air simply goes in from the top, and comes out from those 4 little holes in the bowl into the stem and into your lungs. The smell goes away after 7-10 minutes of turning it up to temp 7. Don't think it can get any safer for a portable, the...

I have specific criteria, one of them being it uses less than 15 amps so I can use it in the car and not blow the fuse to my cig. lighter. The DBV and SSV which I was looking at draw closer to 30-40 I believe. The other big criteria is variable temp control I like the EQ but I want my backup...

Thats good to hear. Plus you have to remember, that small percentage that do have a problem are more likely to post about their bad experience, than that large percentage that are too busy enjoying their Solo's. My Solo made it to PIU this morning, almost exactly 48 hours from IL to CA. I'm...

It is possible, who knows. Only issue I've heard with the newer ones is the battery indicator, but the life and everything else is the same. Where'd you buy yours from?
