The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

That's a good question. I don't know about this upcoming drop. There is a lot of FOMO hype now. Back in November and December, I was amazed at how quickly everything sold. I sat reloading my browser. It was nail-biter time. I think the sales were wiped out in less than about 15 minutes. Does...

I do both: iso and inferno. That inferno cleans all gunk the iso does not. I do not want to remove the balls. If you have a colored tip, yes, the flame will scorch the color. Just watch where the flame hits. Avoid the base: only torch the tips as you see in the clip. I made an earlier post...

I'll echo RedZep and shadymilkman. I've been using the Tempest since early December 2023. I hardly touch my other vapes, and when I do, I'm not impressed with them anymore. The portability, stealth, economy, and taste cannot be beaten. It's worth the wait for sure.

That's a solid idea. I will do THAT 2nd ball screen for sure. Whenever the final drop goes live, I'll add those screens to my wishlist (along with glass sleeves, rosewood stem, Wand stand, bowl screens, and gosh, I wish I had a money tree...) @Brenyo, I sure hope your stock will be HUGE...

BB9 with a Tempest head rocks. It's easy to go to a J-hook or bong with the BB9. Good choice. Cooler than you'd imagine. @ljstavy I posted a short video several weeks back that shows vapor from the Tempest going up a Revolve glass sleeve. (Posted Feb 16. That may make it easier to find.)

No spoon. The idea of having to put the balls back in place and properly tightening the screen is NOT something I want to try. I KNOW the balls are clean without a visual because the airflow in the tip (once I had assembled it again) was FANTASTIC! The airflow improvement was markedly...

Amazing tip for your tips! There has been a lot of swapped ideas back and forth about what the best way to clean the balls in the tip of the Tempest. I have stumbled upon (what I think is) the absolute best tip to unclog any mess on your Zirconia balls! The best part is you do not need...

Thanks! Putting the spring in the head properly is not so easy, at least for me. Do you know if the click disks and spring will already be put together? It would be delicate to ship, I guess. When I received my Tempest and installed the disks and spring, I thought I had wound the spring...

I think so, too. I should have been more specific: what components and price?

Is there any news about an "update kit" for early Tempest adopters? I seem to remember reading something about that a while back. I have a Tempest from the November 23 drop.

I have old VHBs. I've no idea what the new ones look like. VHBs that I have are the best IHs I own for DV. I do not recommend them if you plan to use the Tempest (from my guessswork). The Wand is perfect for the Tempest. When I tried my VHB on my Armored Cap, the heat began to deform the...

I do not recommend buying a DV adapter. If memory serves me right, the DV adapter for the Wand is too small in diameter for the Tempest. Mad Heaters sends you a custom-made adapter for the Wand for the Tempest. To be honest, I have extreme difficulty using DV (and all my other vapes) these...

Beansuppa made a fair request about time and temp. Sorry. I have not included times in my recent posts (older ones, yes). For me, and I think many others would agree, here are some timings you should try out, regardless of temperature (none of the below is valid for higher than 590 F in my...

I think the native stem can easily feel like a pocket bong if you do your experiments right and make note of your settings (all of them, not just temp). Once you think you have a perfect fit, I challenge you to experiment more: I'm pretty sure you will find another awesome set of settings that...

Also remember to clean inner part of wooden sleeves with q-tips or pipe cleaners. Man, that wooden sleeve looks nice! I can't wait to try it out. B4 1st use ISO cleaning

The info sheet Mad sent with the Tempest Nov drop recommended 590 F / 310 or 320 C. That's what I remember. Start there as a baseline. Be cautious of going OVER those recommendations due to combustion. Also be cautious of doing back to back hits at those temps because you will combust 100%...

Please be sure to post your impressions once you get to know your Tempest. I feel pretty much the same as RedZep here. This is one of the few vapes I can use that word: love. It is wonderful to get on here and exchange ideas and see how others people react. Like RedZep, it certainly gets...

Hand feel. I've not timed it, but I guess the Tempest cuts medication time for me down to 1/3 of the time it took with a vapcap. So now I maybe need a solid 7 to 10 minutes with my Tempest. (Screw the old way.) Vapcaps took at LEAST double that with a high powered torch. Question for current...
