    Firewood Vaporizer

Thanx for explaining. I think i actually understood that when i posted about the on/off issue before, and forgot. I still find it a totally baffling design decision that there is no way to prevent accidental battery discharge short of removing the battery. Will probably buy one anyway.

    Firewood Vaporizer

A few pages back, i asked if it is true that there is no way to turn off the Firewood X. I was assured that this is correct, and that i was silly to worry about this. I have no use for electronic devices that can't be turned off, so that led me to think the FW was not for me. But i have...

18650 portable with no plastic: TM2, FW, Toad- anything else?

Thank you so much for your thoughts. For those who don't know much about crack/freebase, you don't actually smoke either one. Both are volatilized by heating with butane torch lighters identical to those used for weed vapes. Having seen folks smoke crack, and seen folks use butane vapes...

18650 portable with no plastic: TM2, FW, Toad- anything else?

All this recent 510 discussion is totally baffling, and mostly seems to have little to do with OT, or maybe it does and i just am too baffled to realize this.... I can say that anything to do with 510 devices is very hard to understand or learn about. All device websites and discussion here...

    TinyMight / TM 2

The new-ish tapered button is indeed much less protruding, and much harder to press. It also seems to be much more failure-prone than the old, not-tapered button- can't understand why they switched. The old, non-tapered button that was original to my tinymight2 never was a problem at any time...

18650 portable with no plastic: TM2, FW, Toad- anything else?

That's pretty cool. Over-large, too complicated, but that's the kind of thing that i've never heard of that i was hoping to learn about- thanx!

18650 portable with no plastic: TM2, FW, Toad- anything else?

Aha- i just found their instagram, which featured that heavily. Their website has many very cool-looking products. I have no idea how one might use any of them to vape herb, trying to figure that out.

18650 portable with no plastic: TM2, FW, Toad- anything else?

The Limelight Frolic looks a lot like a TM2 with plastic parts. Very cool and high-tech, but not what i want. Will keep an eye open for mods, though still not really what i want. Thanx for the suggestions. Emailed the FW guy to get on the X list, and to ask if there are any plans to add an...

18650 portable with no plastic: TM2, FW, Toad- anything else?

I think with the Toad, you just remove and reverse the bottom, and it won't turn on? I know you can remove the battery in the FW, but that seems less convenient. Suppose i will buy one anyway, perhaps with that leather sleeve to make the button recessed. Smoking this weekend because TM2 is out...

18650 portable with no plastic: TM2, FW, Toad- anything else?

Thanx for the reply- if anyone would know of anything out there, it would be you. Checking out the Tetra. I guess there may be a FW X in my future, though it just seems nuts that there is no way to turn it off. And will pray to my heathen gods for my Toad time to arrive.

18650 portable with no plastic: TM2, FW, Toad- anything else?

Bakx is 510, not 18650. I think Tafee Bowle has plastic parts? In any case, it seems cumbersome, and not really portable in the sense of "put it in your pocket". But thank you for your response. Anything else? Surely late capitalism has provided us with more choices here?

18650 portable with no plastic: TM2, FW, Toad- anything else?

I am a very big fan of the TM2, but i am about to send it back to the shop for a button replacement for the third time in nine months. So i am interested in another device to supplement it, to give it a little longer between button replacements. What i want is something very similar to the TM2-...

    Firewood Vaporizer

He posted some videos that answer questions about the storage compartment, and inserting/removing the screen. I kept reading this thread in hopes that he will add an "off" function- will buy one as soon as that happens.

    25mm hot-holes for wireless use

I am just posting to say that i have no idea whatever what "25mm hot-holes for wireless use" might possibly mean, and no desire to find out. Some kind of high-tech, but narrow-gauge, sex toy maybe? Sorry to troll; carry on. Truly our hobby is large, and contains multitudes.

    Firewood Vaporizer

I asked a question, thanked folks for answering my question, and since then have been responding to you. "Kept talking about it"? Maybe. Sorry i am not as psychic as i apparently should be.

    Firewood Vaporizer

Um, OK- i should have found out that this device has no "off" switch before i found out that it has no "off" switch? How does that work anyway? Yes, i now know that i was a fool to assume that this vape could be turned off, like literally all other battery devices i have ever used or heard of...

    Firewood Vaporizer

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions obviously, and clearly the Firewood devices have many fans, but as a more than casually curious potential buyer, any battery operated device intended to be portable that can't be turned off short of removing the battery is something that i will never...

Perplexity "Deep Research" report on Cannabis health effects...

If you wanted to know about health issues related to vaping, why did you ask the robot about smoking and edibles? I still think that asking an LLM is a terrible way to get information, and an even worse way to get useful judgements about things that can't simply be looked up, but i would think...

    Firewood Vaporizer

Thank you all for explaining that there really is no "off" function. That seems to me like an eccentric, verging on insane, design decision. Sad because this looks like a really cool device otherwise, but i have no use for any battery-operated devices with no "off" switch. I guess i can stop...

    Firewood Vaporizer

Someone mentioned that the lack of an off/on option means that the battery can run down from accidental button presses in one's pocket- is this really true? There is really no way to turn the device off, other than removing the battery? The pdf of the FATX manual that was posted has been taken...
