I use my Tempest on a normal vong stem, not the hydravong, with no issues. I only use it through glass with this configuration though. The top crown will get hella hot.

Have you tried taking the atomizer off and putting it back on again? The last time I cleaned mine I had the fiddle with my atomizer for quite awhile to get it to read again. Mine is still the original though and I did let it get pretty gunked up.

I have recently been hearing a high pitched noise in my vape cabinet. I have just narrowed it down to my screwball PID. I now have it unplugged, when I plug it back in it immediately makes the noise again. Do others notice their PID making a noise?

Glad to see the above remedy. I love Mad Heaters and my Tempest, but this seemed like a potentially bad problem. I have not yet had the balls fall out but it seems at least a few have. I can only imagine how much it would suck if the balls were still extremely hot and spilled everywhere...

My battery indicator on the wand also goes way down when using the Tempest. I have read in the past that it isn't the best at reading battery level. I also believe that the Tempest draws a lot more energy from the wand than a DV for example. Even on brand new, freshly charged Molicels it does...
