My friend dropped my pax and it got two nasty scratches on the front, anyone know if ploom can replace the thin metal sheath for a price? I emailed them but probably won't hear back for a day or two and I'm curious of anyone knows, or knows of ways to maybe darken the scratches besides sharpie lol
I
I sent in my pax once before, and they sent it back with some of the lube. It seemed to fix the issue for a while but I still got the temp light every now and again. Now that I compressed the spring, I haven't had the issue at all
And I'm not even using the lubricant anymore

So I think I fixed my problem. I noticed that when I removed my mouthpiece, the protrusion was not always in the "out" position that it's supposed to be in, so I hypothesized that maybe I had stretched the spring while cleaning in that area with the dental pick. I work in healthcare, so I used...
Does anyone think the temp light issue can caused by resin or alcohol inside of the protrusion that slides in and out above the spring and connects to the notch in the mouthpiece? It's the only thing that makes sense to me because everything else is clean that I can think of. It just goes red so...
Ok, so I'm having an issue with my pax now...the temp light issue...and it's gotten to the point that now my Pax is unusable. :( I clean it regularly: I use 91% alcohol and a pipe cleaner to clean the vapor path and to clean to the spring area I use both the pipe cleaner with some alcohol and a...
I just tried packing it down as tightly as I could, and had the same problem. Hits ok, but had to be stirred even more than usual cause the edges would get really dark and the middle/top would still be really green. Even with waiting a minute or so in between, it would only give a medium sized...
Maybe my problem is that I'm packing it down, but not as tight as possible. Just pushing packing down a bit with my finger. I'll have to try packing it even tighter next time and seeing what difference it makes. How long do you find you have to wait in between hits as the bowl gets more used up...
This is just a post for those people who were doing Solo/Pax comparisons. I see why people would compare and contrast them, but they really are two totally different units.
So I've been a very satisfied Solo user for the last year and just decided to get a Pax and try it out. I thought I'd...
It's all about persistence with them. Argue that you shouldn't have to pay anything for a warranty replacement and don't give in. Eventually, they'll cave.
Not many people work at arizer. Kevin basically deals with 90% of the US warranty issues. Ive had some experiences with him that just left a bad taste. However, he did finally manage to get my unit replaced, after I emailed him from a different email address and left off my last name from my...
The size doesn't really bother me at all. I want a place I can keep all the parts safely together, especially when camping during the summer. I was only concerned about durability and build quality cause someone earlier said that they were cheap, although he didn't actually own one. The pictures...
I love my solo, but they do seem to be pretty inconsistent. I think my M107 is definitely better than my M105 was, but it does seem to run cooler, since I can never get my herb as dark brown/black ass before. I would try to find a site that says they stock the M106 and go with that. Seems to be...
My friends and I used my M107 yesterday and I noticed three things about it: First, once it starts heating up the glass pipe gets almost as loose at it did in my 103. Second, the battery life is just as bad as my 103. (Kevin said all the sites stating 4 hours are misinformed, though - that 7-10...
My old M103 was like that. It was so loose that the tube would swing around if you moved it at all or handed it to someone else. I also pulled the stem out with my lips a few times by accident. That was my biggest issue with it. This M107 is a dream machine, I just wish they had sent some...
