Salvia plain leaves (1x) can be successfully vaporized in a DBV (Da Buddha). The trick is:
1) exhale completely to empty lungs
2) sloooowly inhale from the wand
3) hold in the lungs as long as possible
do that twice and you'll teleported in salviaspace
I know about salvinorin-a vaporizing point and how it can be difficult to vaporize with commercial vaporizer built for cannabis. This is why I bought a Venus, I hoped that the different technology (halogen lamp) resulted in a better vaporization for Salvia. But first experiments show it's less...
I expected this vaporizer to work well with Salvia Divinorum but unfortunately it seems it doesn't work well with this plant. The problem is not in the temperature (as the foliage gets literally carbonized) but in the glass top that cools down the vapours too much and too quickly, resulting in...
ok, finally got a reply from customer service, they are just busy building vaporizers for everybody :)
while waiting for my unit, please can someone tell me what is the screw diameter size of the glass cover?
I tried to contact people at venusvaporizer.com but they don't reply to emails or their contact form.
What do you think, it's just a bad customer service or they went out of business?
I started to worry about my order. :suspicious:
Apparently I have the same issue on my DBV: it gets hot and red, but there is no visible vapor cloud and the air flow doesn't seem to be particularly hot.
But I have to say that I am able to get effects even from Salvia Divinorum which indicates that high temperatures are reached without...
I tested Salvia in a Da Buddha Vaporizer and I can now report that it works quite well.
It's only a bit tricky because there is no visible vapor or "cloud", even at the highest temperature setting, so one can get cheated the first times because salvia hits 30~40 seconds later.
The method I...
yes, that's true, it only seemed to me quite strange that the air flow cooled down so quickly. My past experience is with a VaporGenie which has a very hot air flow (at least if I'm using it correctly), so I tought it was the same with the DBV.
Perhaps I have to follow the advice in the DBV...
so anyone can confirm this: is air flow coming out of the DBV wand at (almost) ambient temperature?
I'm just trying to figure if my unit is defective or not. Thank you.
Sorry for the newbie question, I'm vaping for the first time and am trying to make sure I'm using my new vaporizer properly.
I just vaped some Salvia in a DBV, preheated 3 minutes, knob turned to maximum temperature as required for Salvia. Now, the ceramic element is glowing red and some...
This guy apparently has successfully vaporized Salvia in a Volcano. He gives the complete story. I hope it's okay if I cross post his message here:

Salvia and my Volcano - 10th February 2009, 03:23 AM
Hello all, here is the account of my...
absolutely not recreational. Despite the "psychadelic" part of the trip is amazing to experience, most of the people who do Salvia never try it a second time. Regular users have noticed a sort of anti-addictive property: the more you use, the less you want to use. So some people found themselves...
I can now attest that Salvia can be successfully vaporized with a VaporGenie.
The main hindrance is that a certain skill has to be developed before getting consistent results. Along the learning curve, there are lots of "no effect" and lots of started combustions.
In my technique, I keep a...
