i made a post a bit back about switching the p80 mod color in my custom. it came back last week, and i'm really pleased with the black mod (the first was silver). Funky was cool about the whole thing. got an OGB j-hook as well, and so far so great.

i would like to balance my negativity from last night with some positivity. while my initial confusion was genuine, i want to say i used the fw7 for the first time tonight, and holy smokes, after only one pack at the 2nd preset temp, i'm seriously impressed and grateful to have made the purchase.

thanks, i'll give it a whirl tomorrow with a screen. i was thinking that was an incredibly long winded way of saying, "is it missing a screen?" that's how i thought i inserted/removed the battery, but maybe i need to be more forceful on the spring. it still felt like snapping the + side in...

my unit arrived today and it really is quite pretty. also pleased with how small it is, and the one button configuration is nifty. but i am rather confused... i feel like i'm missing something, namely a screen. i see what appears to be a groove in the ceramic bowl area where a screen would sit...

i've got the dc micro. i've only used it through water, 9" bubbler, and was at 430F. i started at 500 and ramped down by 10 until i was a bit short of combusting. i can't even imagine going to 540 and not scorching it, but maybe i'll keep inching up there... that's the thing, i'm at a temp now...

has anyone with the dc elev8r/rubies had to significantly raise the temp over time to achieve the same level of extraction? i've been at 430F since i got the unit around 6 months ago. anything higher and i was getting a little too close to the sun. i combusted at 460+. the bubbler would be...
