I've found that when learning how to use an unregulated vape, swap the battery out with a fully charged one every 3 sessions to limit battery drain as a factor.

I feel this 100%. There are "favorite" vapes in my collection that I plan on using a long time where I have a bit too many extra parts "just in case". I think I'm going to add some extra heaters when the toad is ready to ship.

Thank you for the explanation! Now that you mention it, I remember way back on Dan's IG he mentioned changing the heater design a bit. I'm in an upcoming batch of toads and was wondering if i needed to order an extra heater (besides 1 each high and low).

Do the heaters wear out after a certain amount of use, or are those just backups?

I'm finding the same - temps need to be bumped a bit to match the vapor production of the 9. Where I generally run 380 in the 9, I need to run 410 with the X. Oddly enough, running the X at 380 gives less vapor BUT makes the mouthpiece much hotter than anything I've ever experienced with the 9...

You're giving me FOMO because I only have one FW9 backup!! :D You hit the nail on the head about the removable bowls. Flavor in my FW7 has suffered over time because of a charred bowl. FW9 is fully dunkable, and when flavor starts missing, slap in a fresh one.

The glass in mine keeps slipping out as well. I have to reset it each time I close the lid. Also, I'm a lefty and have been using my thumb on the button, and am constantly burning the shit out of my pinky on the side glass, esp if it has slipped out a bit. I'm going to take it apart tomorrow...

If you pull the spring straight up, the mouthpiece joint will come out by sliding it up. To get the screen out, I just pushed on the edge with a bamboo skewer to knock it sideways and grabbed with tweezers. Getting the screen back in and set properly was a pain though.

At this point, I'd respect him more if he sent a message "F all of you, I have your money and you're never going to get what you paid for" than just crawling into whatever hole he is in, ignoring messages and requests for updates for >4 months.

I really hope that a plain panel without a window becomes an offering in the future. When I buy a non-China vape with replaceable batteries, longevity is the biggest expectation. Nothing about glass fitted into that part screams longevity to me. Not knocking the idea, it's just not for me.
