Only the merchant can cancel a pending transaction, the customer is basically just left in limbo, you can't open up a i dispute or anything like that. After 29 days PayPal will automatically reverse the transaction if it hasn't been completed so just be patient. Your money isn't gone.

I'm guessing you paid through paypal? Paying through CC allows you to "jump the line" and get your unit shipped out quicker as the payment is processed automatically. That's why people with later order #'s already have their units in hand from the last batch.
