Definitely don’t mind the wait. That part is standard with artisan stuff. It’s only the lack of communication that is bothersome, regardless of delays. I would think a $200 preorder would at least buy me a single ETA email
Does anyone else find the revolve draw resistance to be crazy high even on the most open settings? Just got a v2 and am honestly pretty disappointed. Had an M before with a TRWW intercooler. I found the airflow to be way more open on my M stem. Have tried direct flow tube, full open mouthpiece...
For what it’s worth I went back and forth a few times with the ccd without a master key. But I kept being annoyed with it being slightly crooked. Took a long time to get it in there acceptably. Doable though I’d say
I have a pack of ddave screens meant to fit cleanly into the dynavap, so that might make things easier for me. But I used a wide flat end of a chopstick to initially press and then needle point tweezers to get into the groove evenly all around.
Yeah definitely the mesh screen didn’t mean to imply otherwise, I tried mesh screen alone too but felt like the airflow was overpowering the heater. The balls keep it hot enough for mesh screen to be tolerable for me.
I actually just did this! I used 2.5mm balls and a mesh screen instead of the ccd. Game changer for me. Airflow is more open than stock, but the heat keeps up at least as well. Feels like a more instant whitewall.
I had agreed here a few days ago that my dynavap tip hits better than my simrell...
Hmmm that is a compelling idea that the heat soak is contributing to the green on the bottom. The bowl is way longer than the dv, so that could explain why they’re diverging on the heat soak.
I have the variable voltage supply from Ed’s with the digital readout and the knob, not sure if you...
I’m using vvps at 11.4-11.6v. I get combustion around 11.9v. I have not had it long at all. My bowl constantly sits on the log when I’m not using it so it is heat soaked. Doing like .05g bowls loosely packed
I got mine this week, and even though it fits way better than my 9-fin dyna tip I prefer the dyna. Seems like I only prefer the bigger one if I’m doing a close to full bowl. Otherwise it extracts small loads less densely and evenly.
I got a used woodscents today without an extraction chamber and was so excited to use my 9 fin tip but it doesn’t fit 😭
Can anyone offer advice on how to find one that does, considering Ed is sold out of both types that he sells direct? Am I screwed unless I just keep buying tips until one...
The maker tells me some screens of the wrong size got mixed in, so makes sense now. Interesting idea, intentionally removing the screens after every bowl. I like to be able to just blow into my trash can lol
Wondering if anyone else has had this issue: all of a sudden, my screens are crazy loose and won’t snap into the bottom of the bowl. They just fall out if I turn it over. I got my device a week ago. Literally thought to myself wow I love how easy it is to put the screen in… just locks in right...
I bought my unit used with six old capsules at a great price, so really I can’t complain. But coming from s+b capsules, the price shipped for just six has my wallet wide-eyed lol 😭
