Someone please correct me, but it sounds like you can get more flavorful hits if you aim the torch at the middle or top part of the anvil? Have you tried that and it still doesn’t taste the best?

Am I the only one that thinks S&B is insane to price their portables as high as they do for a piece of plastic and batteries you can’t remove yourself? Like wtf. The TM2 has to be leagues better still.
