    Yes, I tried very hot water and a hair dryer. I am pretty much sure that 1/4" I.D. is too small. A close examination of the tubing that came with my EQ reads "kuri tec klearon k010 by Kuriyama 5/16 I.D. x 7/16 O.D." in small white text on the tubing itself.
