bad luck requiring a bit of advice

I respect @Shit Snacks opinion here. You’re a medical user but a light weight for individual dosing. I think you’re best served getting a convection plug in like a log or smaller chamber ball vape like a zx. Wait on the ZX and start with a log vape like the underdog log -...

What's in your vape right now?

I’ve been enjoying some headband that a friend grows. I am grateful to have met this skilled grower.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

On the subject of convection and thin bowl walls, the paper roasting tube idea from @Alan is genius. On my log vape i prefer a paper tube tip that slides into the 7/16” steel heater cover. Super efficient and very convection based.

    Vaping "Just on weekends"

@PeteyS - I feel for you. I’m in a similar situation of trying to cut back. I’m now a once a day .05 gr user. Was a twice a day user. The cutting back is due to a job change and a bunch of new routines outside of work as well. I want to do well during the transition and after. And have...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Ordered my Tempest Saturday and am getting psyched. What are your opinions for the best cooling without glass? Does the Helix tube in the open setting cool the most? Any major flavor drawbacks? I'm planning to replace the Dynavap to lose the throat irritation. Will likely run it on the half...

'The Misty Log' - DIY wooden Log Vaporizer

@Lennon - Good to see another person building their own log vapes. I've built a few that are based off of Alan's HI with the 7/16" diameter heater cover. Not sure about the rust but I'd suggest maybe using stainless steel if you're going to rebuild it. Best of luck and glad you like the efficiency.

I have Long covid, and sensitive lungs. Vaping, esp through a water pipe, would that be safe?

I recommend a log vape if you like herb. Like underdog vapes. Way better than a joint for reducing smoke in the lungs and tastes better. You can micro or mini dose easy while still getting high and going easy on the lungs. It’s efficient. With a bong or jhook the temp on the back of the throat...

What's in your vape right now?

Great to see you growing your own outside. How it should be. I have a headband photoperiod strain going. Hoping it will finish fine here in MA. It’s been 30 year since I’ve grown herb. I dream of getting a light and gifting exotic sativas. Maybe one day. How do your auto flowers compare with...

    The HI

Welcome to the log club. Very easy to use. I suggest getting a wpa adapter from Alan and a dimpled glass hook from dhgate (china). Dry hits with the cooling from a jhook is my preference.

    The GTR

@Hagbard Celine looks like you’re having fun experimenting. I like these types of simple convection plugins. Interested in seeing your GTR after your name comes up. Have you thought about requesting a wooden spa from Alan?

    ELEMENT by PHASE3

Hell yeah! I’ve been hanging back from upgrading my dyna to a convection one hitter. No longer. Also been lurking and dreaming about a phase 3 technology and materials. Having the chamber less conductive than metal or glass is a big one for me.

'The Misty Log' - DIY wooden Log Vaporizer

@brainiac: beautiful wood turning and log building. What diameter heater cover did you use or do you prefer? I recently built one with the 7/16” heater cover (drill press, no lathe). The prior ones built were with a 3/8” traditional cover size. On the 7/16” cover I did the five basket screens...

    Environmental Disasters! (we saw coming)

@Abele Rizieri Ferrari I have not dreamt up an other way apart from hoping government intervention could steer our society away from excessive consumption. Do you have any ideas? I guess the idea is that a democracy represents the will of the people and if the public wants real environmental...

    Environmental Disasters! (we saw coming)

@Perfect_Speed4069 - I just watched the link to the donut approach to economics. Thanks. I've heard the term but now know what it means. The hole in the donut represents extreme poverty (not enough food, etc) and the outer edge represents ecological overshoot (unnecessary consumerism, stupid...

    Ethanol tincture potency?

Yes, the IP saute mode with a thermometer in liquid showed the temp was higher then boiling temp of alcohol but less than temp that would evaporate THC. Forget the numbers. Can use a rice cooker instead. The boiling off reduces alcohol and increases potency. Yes the alcohol is expensive but I...

    Ethanol tincture potency?

Agreed on PschedelicSam's thread from GrassCity having good info. Here is a link to a Green Dragon Cookbook pdf with his method and some recipes. I used an InstantPot on the saute setting to reduce out the alcohol and transfer the (cannabis oil / RSO) to olive oil. The Everclear tincture under...
