Battery Free Ganz - The Flare Induction heater

I broke the glass on my Wand (got knocked off my desk accidentally) so I decided to try the Flare out instead. I’m really happy with the unit, I don’t particularly notice the back cover as being flimsy, it’s just thin plastic (doesn’t feel cheap to me), I love the adjustable insert height. At...

    Chaos by Phattpiggie

I’ve been really enjoying my short handle Chaos, in fact mine is the amazing Olive version in the picture few posts up from @phattpiggie . Been using this through both water and dry J-hooks and its phenomenal. Super smooth, perfect extraction and capable of small to huge bowls, I’ve been really...

Well it was tough but I picked my combination too, went for Walnut Select and Zebra wood battery sides and top/bottom with a Walnut door, brass for the glass retainer. Nearly went for Purple Heart but the Zebra wood just won.

I got a second email today from Ryan saying I’m on the second 50 batch, I hope you guys did too? I’m really looking forward to this one! Not really sure what wood I’ll be going with, do you think we’ll have the same choice as per the first 50? I’m a little unclear on that. I missed out on the...

    ZionM

Hey Guys. I need some help, I'm not sure why but my ZIon M isn't heating up anymore. Batteries are charged, contacts cleaned but no power. I haven't checked the connections on the button as I wasn't sure if this was screwed in or glued in...I'm not sure what else I can do? Any advice warmly...

    The Nomad From Morwood

I apologise for the many that are waiting for their creations to arrive, I was in the last batch of Nomad 1’s that had the option of becoming a Nomad 2, I chose the latter so I know some of what you are going through but believe me it’s so worth the wait if not even much more; I have just...

Hey gang is there a pocketable torch that does the job well? I don't mind having to refill often as I'd rather not carry those big blazer torches around. New to the butane scene so kinda lost on what could work. Have VCs but only ever used induction, big thanks to @phattpiggie for the Bocote TA.

    The Nomad From Morwood

That my friends is my Nomad, I am beyond amazed at what Dan had produced, I was in the first batch of Nomad 2’s, can’t wait to receive it. I mentioned this at some point in this thread but the body of the Nomad is made from Karelian birch which only grows in a very small area from where I am...

Collyland Aromatizer (formerly Vapbong by Art of Vapor)

Thank you @Jess that would be great if that's not a hassle; @coolbreeze I think you're right, I probably didn't get things 100% sealed when gluing the parts back together or the volume of glue between the parts pushed everything out of alignment slightly, but like you said it's not a total loss...

Thanks @Kaptan, the heater itself looks undamaged and the coil does glow, I haven't noticed any damage to the heating spiral / ceramic neither, apart from the breakage off the main body everything looked OK to me. I'm pretty sure the seal is OK too. When I epoxy glued the heater back on I...

I sure am.; left if for a good hour at full power then dropped it down to 11.0 for 30 mins to stabilise and started working up from there in small increments. I have to draw quite slowly at 12.4 to get the colour that @BubbleDrop kindly posted.

Thanks @BubbleDrop Only way I can get to that ABV colour here is to have the controller at full heat (12.4); I tried the 11 range yesterday and only ended with a golden colour despite different draw speeds, loads etc. Still a lovely experience I’m just not sure why my repaired VB runs cold.

So I repaired the damaged VB as best I could, I’m quite happy with the result considering when it arrived the only thing holding the heater to the body were the two wires. Not perfect but at a glance doesn't look too bad. The heater was glued into position with the ball chamber in place but I’m...

Hey @Ripstar happy to hear yours arrived in good condition, Daniel being the good guy he is, is sending me out a new Obsidian but there's no way I can throw this one out, so I'm doing my best to repair it. Broken heater is now epoxy glued back into position as best I can, I think it's sealing...

Well my lovely Obsidian arrived after being delayed in the UPS system here for a while and unfortunately the heater is broken from the body. I think customs were heavy handed with the box......so very sad about this but I have reached out to Daniel to update him. Sometimes life just keeps on...
