Use PBW in a few minute soak no need for polishing agents and will remove any chazz just slides right off.

true, some without a traditional on/off switch could actually not turn back on. That would be one of the reasons I didn't account for in my "no reason not to" response. Mine is like the @TedJones posted.

Every time I look through that thread I come away thinking there is no alternative. That looks expensive to me! I sent you a private message.

I still haven't found the same design principles in another vape so best suggestion is to contact the member here to have it repaired.

I don't know if I'd say his demonstrations are bad so much as I think what he was demonstrating was different from what you took away from it. I took that as demonstrating how a convection vape works and not really a comparison between the two vapes other than demonstrating the FT could only...

If you want to use ISO on your bearings make sure it's 90%+ in order to avoid flash rust. You could also just use mineral spirits. If you get rust on your bearings you can soak them in white vinegar to remove it...or just repack the grease and ignore it. Re-lubricating a bearing that has flash...

I found PBW was the best cleaning method. Heated a mug half full of water in the microwave for 2-3 minutes, dropped a pinch of PBW into the mug, stirred it up well and dropped the balls in and they came out clean as new. After it cools off after about 5 minutes do a fresh mug of water and PBW...

The point of that part of his review was to discuss the fact that the FT can only be used for convection and there isn't any way to take a hybrid or conduction hit with it whereas the FK is more "versatile" in that it can do any kind of hit depending on how you configure/use it. It's right at...

When Lee is talking about that he's referring to when you use it right side up. The comments here are talking about what happens if you flip it upside down. Also, if you want to use it in pure convection mode right side up you can choose to use the deeper bowl so the SS nipple doesn't touch the...

I explained how the law and damages work. I’m not sure why you became so rude in this thread but it certainly doesn’t match the culture of the community here that I’ve been a member of for over a decade.

The bearing shouldn't get gunk from normal use. The other option is to simply pop the bearing out when cleaning the top.

Why can't I get the same "high" than I used to get?

You cannot take the label percentages at face value. With increased corporate/profit incentive in this business comes the need to stand out amongst competitors. With few options to improve on the product itself that leaves competitors to engage in an arms race of claiming increasingly potent...

You can only sue for damages, which in this case would be about $80, and it will be difficult, if not impossible, to demonstrate harm from this product at all let alone because of the manufacturer. In order to do that you'd need to prove that SS dust is actually going into the milling chamber...

I misspoke. I was under the impression a "PEEK" bearing was a brand of full ceramic bearing. I did not realize it's a bearing with ceramic balls in a PEEK (softer than steel) raceway. But yes a full ceramic bearing would increase the risk of ceramic dust...however one wants to define the...

I linked the video to show you what it looks like inside and so you can see even "sealed" bearings can be taken apart, cleaned, and greased again. I don't think you'll ever have to break down the bearing that extensively. Skateboard bearings need to be because of dirt and grime getting into them...

Yes, used to do it all the time for skateboards. Here's a video from a skater: Since they aren't getting dirty like a skateboard bearing does, you could also just soak them in ISO and then soak/pack grease into the bearing without removing the seal. If you want to get really into cleaning the...

I seem to have missed the earlier discussions about the concern over ISO soaking the bearing. Is there any particular reason people don't want to ISO soak the bearing that comes with the A3? You can grease them safely with NSF H1 food grade grease.
