Can confirm, the 4 turns on as soon as you insert the battery. I'm guessing there was some sort of clearance issue with the door that caused the battery to get damaged while putting it on.

I'm gonna second the Firewood 4. I was in a similar situation as you: low tolerance, a few hits gets me where I like, wanted something discreet. The FW is really small and easy to use, and gets damn good vapor with a little practice. Looks like a regular box mod, just made of wood.
