So i drilled a hole in the bottom of a herb can. Sort of works out because drilling from the bottom in, the metal bends in, but it makes a little funnel up for the air to come but doesn't allow any bud to fall back down. It's close to center so it's over air draw hole. Can's smoke nicely on 2.

I use 99.99% Alcohol and there is never usually a taste afterwards. Since you got the unit used, it seems it wasn't treated the best.

Temp 1 should not be too hot to handle, nor should it give really any vap with a can. I can only use temp 1 with a conduction screen. Anything else it's not hot enough. Doesn't sound right.

Ya, after owning for a bit and learning the best grind/pack, I'm a conduction fan as well. I usually turn up to 2, let it heat up and sit for a min, then down to 1 just to keep the heat on and the taste is oh so tasty.
