hey Fahrenheit450, the plenty would never make your abv dark brown/blackish, not even at 7. abv usually is brown/golden brown, never really dark... at 7, the analog termometer will tell you're at 220 °C but i think it's not accurate... it's incredible how fresh is the vapor even at max temps...
