    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

I'm sure it'll be a while before we actually see "The Firefly 2.0," but I thought some of you might be interested in what you can find by googleing. If you do a search for NWT Holdings you'll find two things: (1) They're hiring, not surprising considering how well I imagine they're doing with...

So as far as I understand this, Li-ion refers to the chemistry of the battery (same as the last), Li-polymer means that this battery has flat cells (like the battery in your phone). The old one just saying Li-ion probably indicates that it has round cells (imagine two AAs in the little black...

Can you post a picture of the battery? All those numbers are important! I can tell you what some of them mean. I was just thinking about getting a second battery, wondering if they had been updated.

I don't know much about batteries, and only really basic information about the distinction between Li-ion and Li-poly (perhaps you can help me out here), but I think it was in the podcast with the designers of the device (posted somewhere in this thread) that they said they went with a Li-ion...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

There must be a temp sensor somewhere in the device presuming the instruction manual isn't mistaken (no idea where, but there were a couple chips that I couldn't read, and this isn't my area of expertise). It says that the indicator light will glow amber if the device overheats. Also I have to...

Sadly, the writing is too faint even for my DSLR to pick up. Maybe if I had studio lighting. Anyway, I'll just do this manually. Largest chip on the topside says: PIC16F888 E/S? e3 (I have a scratch on the character after the S, pretty sure it's another S. e3 bit is circled) (Motorola logo)...

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

Writing on the chips is very faint, iphone camera just doesn't cut it. I'll see if I can get my real camera up and running tonight, I think I have an old lens somewhere that will do the job (main lens needs repair for focus issues).

    Discontinued The Firefly Vaporizer

Hey all, sorry this took a bit longer than expected, but I haven't seen any other teardown pictures, so here they are. Sorry about the cell phone pictures, my real camera is out of commission at the moment. Five T6 screws remove the top plate. Closer view of the inside. Glass bowl lifts...

No, but could do so within a few days, unfortunately my Torx T6 (or whatever it was) was since sacrificed to my Macbook pro while I was doing some work on that machine, so I need to go out and buy a new one. Also just remembered there was some discussion on the magnets in the device a while...

Just wanted to add the perspective of a 20something tech and physics nerd (but no expert by any means) to this discussion. I didn’t see these things covered in my read through, but perhaps I missed some of them. First off, my Firefly brand power adapter is rated at 100-240V, so unless...
