No random acts of combustion here. You probably have a defective unit & as @mitchgo61 indicates, the folks at Firefly will get you sorted.

I have a similar sound & after closely listening to the fan, the 'clicking' sounds more like 'pulsing'. This lines up with what @vtac just posted from Josh. I personally am not going to worry about mine, but if yours is as you said, 'annoying as hell', you indeed will want to call them on...

Exactly what I did. It works quite well.

Back on topic, I believe the Firefly will provide you what you need & address all your concerns. It is remarkably efficient, max load is about .1g & the unit has a great seal/you heat 'on-demand' so smell shouldn't be an issue. Peace, den

Just received & tried the Firefly. It is indeed an exceptional portable vape. Seems like .1g of material is about the upper limit on load size (fluffy, medium grind). @mitchgo61 usage instructions above are bang on. Love the window & the 1950's retro look of this thing. Taste & cloud production...
