I got my Firewood 1.0 recently, in walnut. Thanks Bouldorado. It's beautiful <3 Do you guys have any tips for modding this thing? It works splendidly, but the stem does get a bit hot--thinking I might want to change that somehow. What would you guys suggest?

Thanks for such a thorough response! I guess my only other question would be, which one is easier to maintain? Would also be interested in the j-hook vs. straight stem comparison for that...basically, I don't know that much about piece maintenance and don't want to have to be tinkering/cleaning...
