Thanks Grokit i can get the clear tubing over here no problem, it the coloured stuff im struggling to get hold of. I found some on ebay.au but the vendor did not reply when i asked if he would ship to the UK.

Well...after taking my ssv to 2 electrical shops this morning and being told that they couldn't help, as the potentiometer (dial) looks to be specially made for the ssv, I thought sod it, and took it apart again. This time carefully opening up the potentiometer as well, and after a bit of head...

Yes I did try the dial without the knob. I took the whole vaporizer apart and put it back together again, it is definitely the dial that is at fault.

With the potential shipping costs already in mind when I first emailed, I asked them if they could send just the part I needed. They didn't answer that question unfortunately.. I will ask again now..
