Yeah I think "oven loads" is just a bad metric to go by because some people just lightly pack it and only vape till it's light brown, others will pack it full and roast it on all settings until it's dark like coffee, and everything in between.
When I had to send mine in the other day for some strange issues I was having it kind of got me wondering the same thing. I'm guessing they don't really repair them though, they probably just test them and when they are deemed faulty they might get sent back to the manufacturer as you said...
Just got done chatting with Ploom and will be sending my unit to them soon.
In regards to the cleaning tip, every time I clean it I take the spring out, soak/scrub/lube it, and while its out I stick an ISO'd pipe cleaner in the area between the tube and the body so I know that that shouldn't be...
So in the last week or so I think I have developed an issue with my PAX that I haven't seen in this thread, and I've read every post and been following it ever since I starting PAX'ing over a year ago hahah.
It seems my unit has gone rogue. It just keeps heating up and heating up seemingly. I...
Hey there. Yeah there's plenty of talk about this in the thread, all though the pax thread is quite long so I don't blame you for not reading the whole thing lol.
Yes it is very simple to make the pax able to fit in any bong.
Check this out: [vaporpedia link removed due to malware] and scroll...
I'd still be hesitant calling the Pax a stash killer. As usual I think it depends on the user. I pack small ovens with a screen on top and I conserve pretty well, but I guess there are still other vapes out there that can be more efficient.
Well there are a lot of portable usb battery packs out there now, such as this:

And to complete the solution, I have seen people link this...
Yeah I got a ploom two. First thing I did after using my first pod was empty it and fill it up with some green. Didn't really work, no vapor production. I think it's because it doesn't get hot enough. bummer.
Been happily Paxin' for about 6 months now, just wanted to chime in on a few things.
The spring cleaning did wonders for me even though it didn't have a lot of visible gunk on it. I highly suggest it once in a while.
Also, since I read about the folded over pipe screen on top of your load...
Anyone got a link to or suggestions for some better pick/brushes for cleaning the area surrounding the spring and clip area?
I've been using some dentek brand gum picks that I found from earlier in this thread, but they don't really work too well, they're too flimsy I feel.
Interesting.. hopefully it's from not being clean.
I learned first hand this weekend how much the Pax can be affected by different strains. Brought it to my friends house for a small super bowl party, and with 8 of us using the Pax there were at least 3 different kinds of bud going into it.
I...
Will someone refresh me on the blinking orange lights? Mine did that while heating up today, then shut off. I clicked the mouthpiece closed, popped it back up and it's been working fine since with no problems..
I did read like the last 50 pages of this thread and other chunks as well before I made my purchase.
Very strange stuff indeed.
I will likely contact Randy after work tomorrow for the next course of action. :(
Yeah I'm thinking it is messed up. It does the same thing when I unplug and plug it back in. If i turn it on, it just gives me a solid red charge and blue idle, no heating.
Kinda sucks... one week old.
Luckily I got it from Puff it up so I should be in good hands.
Been using my solo since I got it one week ago and loving it but am kind of worried right now.
IDK if this is normal behavior or not, but I believe this is the first time I forgot to charge it so I think the battery died, and I have it charging now but the charge light is red and lights 1 2...
