I can confirm that the armoured cap works really well in a wand, I have the tempest adapter in the wand and use the armoured cap in the exact same position - there is a specific position for the adapter to get the tempest at the right height.
I run an old 5 fin titanium tip, I have a titanium...
You only need to turn it slowly so not sure where the benefit is.
Pretty sure it's also ok to just heat one spot and forget about turning altogether.
It also retains plenty of heat as it stands, so again it sure what benefit there is to adding copper.
It works well enough for me to not bother...
Maybe it's in my head, but I do tend to feel heavier effects that way personally, maybe I think I'm getting a better extraction out of a smaller amount. Who knows.
If nothing else, it allows me to repeatedly use a device that I thoroughly enjoy using.
Not a what I'd call a laborious process so...
No bother, wasn't meaning to sound sarky or anything, realise after I wrote that it might come across that way 😁
I think it hits hard. I also think a lot of it is personal and subjective, but it feels to me like it is. Tempest, wand and reload if you can afford it, it's an awesome set-up.
The...
I'd agree, I haven't used the others but the function of the wand is absolutely on point for me, I can live with it's limits given how well it works at home and on the move.
Also want to see the visual indicator when reheating, so keen to find out what others do, after getting used to the wand...
If you have any issues with sensitivity in the throat like me you might feel it, I have a couple of things going on so my throat is really sensitive at times unfortunately.
I've had it with other stainless steel vapes so this wasn't new to me when the wooden/stainless sleeve felt similar.
It's...
If you just sit the tempest in it normally, small particles can fall down into the balls and it'll just dirty up inside it after a while.
I posted a photo of mine a page or two back, this was after just sitting the tempest upside down in it.
Holding the wand upside down with tempest right way...
It's just the way mad heaters do things with new releases. Been like this since the original reload and Gen 1 revolves.
He's said many times within the thread there will be plenty stock when it launches.
I would imagine that the when you place the pre-order, it'll be shipped not too longer...
Sugar soap is what I use. Literally cleans everything to the point where it looks like new, that photo of the balls I posted, the top parts was after a clean with iso.
I dumped them in a tube with sugar soap in it, left it for a few minutes and shook it around for a couple of minutes, the lower...
Your probably right, mines have only really been mega dirty once.
Originally I was running mine by just placing the tempest in the wand, I'd tamp each bowl down slightly but after a few weeks the balls were properly coated.
After I cleaned them in sugar soap, I started holding the tempest...
It doesn't work unfortunately. Works with the new flare though, that's coming out soon.
Works great with the wand, good batteries make a difference.
Also, with the wand you can see the visual indicator when it's heating up.
The indicator is fine to be inside, it sits inside the wand adapter...
Agreed, I turned the wand down to about 260 to start with.
I run the zircs at about 320/330.
I ended up about 270c on the wand but I must have been drawing on it a bit too hard.
There was a little less material than normal.
I'll try less again this eve, thanks for the advice :)
I am all about...
Has anyone cracked any balls when torching them clean?
I couldn't be bothered cleaning them yesterday, so put them in a tea strainer and torched them clean, that's when one cracked in half. Nothing to intense, heated them for about 30 seconds or so. Torch isn't that big either, little kitchen...
Mines has taken a battering more than once. It goes everywhere with me.
I dropped it last week on the pavement and it bounced several times, it was a really nasty tumble, a slope on paving slabs, it just kept going...
It's basically fine. The ball screen became dislodged and when I opened it...
You're right it doesn't, it's just the easiest way of advising people and keeps things simple, it still correlates to the results you'll end up with so all good.
I had an accident with mine last weekend and could no longer use it as half of the balls fell out.
Bren kindly sent me bits to get it working again, there was a new indicator housing included.
I wasn't expecting that as it wasn't on the invoice.
Pretty sure it'll cover your bases. I take mine when I'm out on my mountain bike, and everywhere else I go.
As far as what it's capable of, in my opinion it's up to you what it does.
You can hit it hard and get absolutely ripped, or you can have a more mellow session with it.
As far as a joint...
Back on the road. It's just a vape, but I don't have the selection of other vapes that some folk have, it's been a fairly unsatisfying few days without it.
@Brenyo, thanks very much dude. The new parts are cool, and it clicks!! I never gave the click discs a thought when I put the new housing...
