Just a warning to you guys getting gongs with carbs, that air can get pretty hot. Not sure how you designed it but I would recommend that the carb stick out kind of like a snorkel. Just a thought Cool Bubbler with snorkel carb

As far as castle nails go that one is designed pretty well. The center cup is large, sort of flat, and not too deep. For heating it a smaller flame torch works best and you want to aim it right in the middle of the cup. Heating it from the side doesn't work that well. I love the banger design...
