That's strange @Salvaged_Title_Robot, I don't find I need to use any extra juice with the dynavap tip vs the glass wpa. I don't think either of my tips would fall off if I put them on the heater sans stem and puffed at them, but nor are they anything like press fit--they fit over the heater...

Their site and advertising are too pushy for my tastes (I hate those fake “only x left, y people are looking!” banners designed to induce fomo). That said the chandelier perc looks neat but it might eat a lot of flavor. I’ll have to give their catalog a more thorough look.

Yeah I'm with you. Like @cybrguy said you don't strictly have to whitewall a larger piece, but if I'm going through water whats the fun in that =). Plus if I'm already loosing some flavor I want it to be good and cool so I can enjoy a large-ish hit.

Yeah they’re a lot of fun. The city I live in used to do an annual Stuporbowl alleycat. The various stops were all pubs, and iirc you had to knock out back a pint at each. There were folks who took the race seriously and pleeeeeenty of people who used it as a low key bicycle pub crawl.
