I just put an SS screen on top of the bowl and it keeps the unit much cleaner and IME works better that way :)

I just take it apart, take out the orings and soak everything except the orings in warm ISO (just put ISO in a ziplock bag with all the parts and put it inside a cup with almost boiling water) after a while I take everything out and give it a quick clean with a couple earbuds. Done!!
