The appeal for me is the faster extraction time. I find that I get 2 heat cycles from the smallest setting on my omnivap but if I can reduce this to 1 then using my omnivap out and about becomes even quicker and more importantly even more discrete.
I thought the same as you do regarding the abv from the new 7 Fin tip until I put it in my 5 fin tip and got 2 more heat cycles from it. I think the new tips allow more air flow but this in turn lowers the temperature in the chamber giving lighter coloured abv.
I have contacted Dynavap about the issue(s) and I am sure they will find a solution. The LE caps I received were ever so slightly loser on my gen 5 tip but not enough to affect performance in any way unlike the new gen 6 7 fin tip.
@stark1 - no I haven't because in my view I shouldn't have to. Surely DV should make sure the caps fit the tips and vice versa before they start selling them. Don't misunderstand me, I think George and team do an amazing job but it cannot be too difficult to machine parts that fit properly...
@stark1 - I had to do that to make the cap stay on but that solution only provided another problem. My dd is a Blackwood onmi with the 5 Fin tip and I have the condenser fully extended as I like thick vapor with little added air. After doing the cap pinch to make it fit on the new 7 Fin tip...
I think the reason for lighter avb with the new 7 fin tips is because the caps don't fit nearly as tightly as the regular 5 fin tips allowing more air flow which in turn brings temperature down quicker. I have emailed George and team about this because every cap I have falls straight off of the...
You will be looking for a long time then - especially if you have low grade green that isn't grown properly - I used to have the same problem.
Why not ask someone in thr Milaana thread?
Vintage guitars is slightly different to a product being made up to a year ago. I thought that Dynavap would still have the gen 4 design and tools in house and that it would be easy to remake them to that spec in the same way.
@Summer - I assumed that the pre-ordered 7 fin tips would be the gen 4 style with the thicker fins. I don't like and will not buy the new design as I find it pig ugly.
I don't like the look of the 7 fin tip in the video. I have messaged Arielle at DV to ask about gen 4 style tips and will update you guys when I get a reply.
I think that if using cannabis makes you constantly confused and paranoid you should abstain completely. So bored of the same assumptions and criticisms being made over and over again. The Vapcap is a VAPORIZER.
If it wasn't you would smell and taste smoke eveytime you use it and the remains...
@Dynalowrider - here is the graph I was talking about -
I was just reading up on the Armstrong limit as well and you are right - many liquids and oils have a lower boiling point below a certain pressure. Its really intrresting to learn new stuff.
With most electric vapes the temperature inside the bowl drops when you take a toke - this is why you need to heat soak Solo's etc to get a good hit. However as one of our fellow vapcappers showed about 100 pages back the temperature inside the vapcap bowl INCREASES when you take a hit. I don't...
