Nice. Thanks.
I noticed you mentioned the airflow not being open enough for you - I think you will enjoy the captive caps as they are more open than the standard caps.
The other difference is that you can pinch the standard cap for a better fit but if you do the same with the captive cap the captive lugs gets stuck easily on the tip. If you have only vaped and not smoked then I think you will enjoy the captive cap as you still get big clouds, just cooler and...
Captive cap = whispy vapor as the cap is a looser fit with the lugs holding the cap in place on the tip.
Standard cap = tighter friction fitting cap with better vapor production.
My personal observations only.
Stupid question but are the grooves for the screen clear of debris? I had a similar issue with the screen not staying in place and on closer inspection I found that I hadn't been cleaning the bowl properly as bud debris had built up in the grooves. I bought a cheap dentist pick tool (the L...
I have all tips made since 2017 and the 4th gen 7 fin tip gives the fullest extraction with a tighter draw resistance. I can finish a bowl with the latest Ti 5 fin tip - vaping until no more vapor is produced then put it in the gen 4 7 fin tip and get 1 or 2 more heat cycles without combusting...
Does anybody else think the price for the 7 fin tip is excessive? With shipping AND customs charges I will have to pay nearly £100.00 for 1 tip to the U.K. Glad I got on board early with Dynavap, got 3 original 7 fin tips back in 2017 and haven't bought one since as the prices just keep going up.
You get more flavour with the 2020M because it takes alot longer than the titanium tip to get to the optimal operating temperature, this is also why the 2020M doesn't produce visable vapor until the 3rd or 4th heat cycle. There is so much metal in the neck of the 2020M tip that it acts like a...
Sorry I'm getting my models mixed up! I only recently bought a standard 2020M and a 2019 Phantom but after hitting them both all morning I got confused.
Just finished modifying my 2018 Shadow M tip! Haven't used it since I bought it 2 years ago but its my only vigin Dynavap! I might be wrong but I think they were the first model to have a serial number on the cap. Mine is 1965.
I guarantee that you will enjoy it! I did the same and gave my captive cap to a friend. The difference is bigger and better than you might expect.
Easy answer. The lower temp cap will NOT necessarily lower your consumption. As you have the TI tip I suggest you adjust the screen inside the bowl...
I couldn't agree more about the diversity of the Dynaverse!
I file my 2018M steel tips for extra air flow and being an ex-smoker I appreciate the slightly hotter hits the 2018M provides.
I changed the captive cap on my 2020M for an old, tight standard cap and find it so much more enjoyable in...
