FYI the captive cap has much more open airflow compared to the standard cap as it doesn't require pinching to make an interference fit on the tip.
I'm in the opposite camp - I hate the later airy tip (2020M and Ti) and captive cap - I prefer a tight draw.
I think Dynavap should offer a choice...
Fav Omni - Latest Omnivap with gen 4(2017) 7 fin tip and standard cap.
Fav M - 2019M body, Simrell Stinger, 2018M tip with extra air grooves filed in and standard cap.
@Newcastle - this mod makes the 2018M tip the best of the bunch imo -
Bigger bowl won't happen anytime soon in my opinion. It would require redesigning and remanufacturing, won't fit any of the current stems/bodies and won't fit the Induction heaters.
Makes no sense at all to me but I'm stupid 🤪.
Just have 2 bowls if 1 isn't enough.
I couldn't agree more.
I'm still surprised that George @ Dynavap didn't team up with @Pipes for the 'genuine' Dynavap branded units - they would be far better than the Rover or the Orion which are both pony.
If the 2021M reverts to a round bowl I might consider it as I loathe the 2020M tip. The adjustable screen was a great idea but squaring the tip made no sense to me, just made me appreciate the earlier models even more. The 2018 shadow M being one example.
A new Omnivap design however would be...
Thanks @stark1!
I have been looking for a something new for my standard Omnivap which has a blackwood body for a while so I think an Assassin will now have to be purchased!
May the VAS be with you.
EDIT - Vapefiend UK have the 2018 SHADOW M on special offer for £49.00...
The Stinger is an effective cooler to be sure and if you can use it the extendable condenser is cool but that is all it brings to the table.
Best use for the Stinger imo is to pair with a 2019M & Dynacoil and use it for nice, cool dab hits. For flower my Omnivap is still the king.
Stinger works perfectly in the Omni shell but the intercooler only fits from 1 side. Have also tried fitting it both top and bottom on the Shellshock and Tectonic with no luck.
The Stinger condenser is wider than the DV standard and XL which helps with cooling. Haven't tried the Stinger spiral in a DV condenser yet, will try later and update.
Also the Stinger condenser tube can be extended as it has a slide fit into the mouthpiece meaning you can extend by about 8-10mm...
The XL condenser spinning mouthpiece mod works on both bodies but the Shellshock I have was machined poorly and air leaks in around the base of the mouthpiece hole giving very whispy vapor. The Tectonic body is airtight and lighter in weight.
My experience with the Shellshock and Tectonic has made me take a step back. Let's be honest apart from the mouthpieces and airport rings they are basically the same unit and as you can see above I prefer the Tectonic body mated to the Shellshock mouthpiece (the Tectonic mouthpiece is shocking...
