Exactly as @Brewervapesalot said. The EVO has vents on the top to release and excess heat during use. Invert it and the heat will rise into the unit, could overheat the electronics and there is a possibility of inhaling some noxious chemicals if you leave it inverted for long periods of time...

Why not look into oils? You can buy high %CBD and very low %THC, which would be perfect to start with. Only a very small % of THC is required for them to work in synergy with each other. Imo what your son is doing now will affect frontal lobe development by smoking such high %THC strains...

I have never experienced this using either @jojo monkey supplied screens or using my favorite method with the EQ bowl. What screens are you using? I have super fine ones from @jojo monkey theater nothing through. I am also using a very fine grind and only get build up in the stem.

I missed their advice, so here is mine! LOL! Fine to medium grind your herbs. Load ELB 1/2 full with medium grind and 1/4 full with fine grind. Make sure the EVO has been on for at least 10 minutes and load ELB. I like to draw slowly, just below the whistle for max effects!
