Stu, will be ordering the last pieces of tooling needed to make the solo dugouts tomorrow. Hope to have your piece done soon. As I said I have some amazing two tone granadillo with birds eye figure and wild grain patterns, this stuff finishes so nice with a glossy sleek shine! You being the...
Wow really dig the latest pics you posted Alan, the Cocobolo and Ziricote are super dense and I feel these tougher woods turn better and finish so sleek. The Cocobolo is by far one of my favorites, I often find it has really beautiful contrasting grain colors and the shine it naturally has is...
By all means what ever you feel is best sticks, my # 1-877-564-5058
Stu give me a shout also and we will go from there.
Vito is the man, i took them for granted, nice work!
By the way if you dont get me the first time at the # i am all over the shop or who knows where pls leave a msg or even...
The SS is turned to a little over 1/2" am not sure I can even get a bit close enough in diameter to fit snugly. The silicone would have been great but they its impossible for me to get that done.
The stem could be loaded and then an additional screen could be put over the load, then you could...
Nah they are smaller than I need, I tried many different companies to get the right caps but all would have to make special tooling and would have to charge me $1000's to make it happen. I think you will dig the hemp idea for sure.
I didnt get anywhere with the plastic cap but have a couple folks making me a hemp sock like thing to slide over the SS so the user doesnt get burned. Hope to have those available soon.
Oh that would be quite a task, the dugout itself would be really large at 5", it be like holding a short cutoff of a 2x6. Not sure but the thing may be so big it'd almost be awkward to use and store, it would damn sure be bigger than the solo itself.
Very nice Vito, I was just talking to some one the other day about how bad ass it would be to come for a visit, I would love a tour through all the great vapes you have and share your joy!
Wow Vito that is a sweet piece when you put it next to the silver Solo, I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for posting pics also, you are the man! That Sinker Cypress is some that I just got on my visit down south to Louisiana, thats some of the Ax Men Swamp Man Logging lumber. I have a few more of...
Alright, slightlymedicated did msg me and said that the shorter are warmer than the 4", he says its noticable and perfers the long instead of the short and the glass. This is the best i can tell ya for now!
I am sorry to say you wont get a dugout from this stuff unless I get it a hellova lot cheeper than I am now. This stuff is super expensive and a dugout would cost ya probably more than you wanna pay. Thanks for the inquiry though.
I have not yet hit both side by side, I know some one who has and will ask him to share his experience.
How bout it Slightly Medicated, you have both a 3" & 4", how do you think they perform side by side?
Thanks for the inquiry, as far as length and how it performs am not sure. I use the standard 4" and get solid hits. The dugout is rather large, has a 5/8" wide x id say a little over 2" deep, you can really put quite a bit in there. I still have to get more tooling to make em happen but am...
Glad to hear it Bum, the mineral staining in those are so dark they are black as night! Truly a blessing from Mother Nature! Pls let me know how you like it!
