Back in the day, we knew not to use 99% ISO on acrylic bongs because they'd essentially fall apart. The discolouration is no surprise to me, 99% ISO is a concentrated solvent, and I have seen it strip colour from all kinds of plastics and surfaces over the years. I'd opt to submerge the CU in...
I removed that goofy second screen, put some beads in the wpa screen space, and have been using it like that on a j-hook... I definitely like to finish in the mid-range though. Upper temps get coughy, but thats true of most vapes for me.
Pull out the punched double screen thats attached on the underside of the main steel one, and replace it with a regular mesh screen. Doing that opened up restriction a bunch on my CU. Same with the wpa.. that little punched screen sucks, or rather, prevents it from sucking. 🤣
So, if it's anything like this 9085 tape, it's listed as being aerospace applicable, and tolerant to temperatures of up to 550F. It is listed as having "low out-gassing properties." The Angus' maximum temperature potential is 478F (428F + 50F Boost).... that should be enough room for this to be...
Agreed with the choke point. I mean, I get how it'd be hard to go too much wider and maintain the reversability, but it looks like they could open up that narrow end diameter by a millimeter or two, which would allow for a slightly wider opening on the WPA itself.
I recommend pulling out this little double screen dealio, and replacing it with regular mesh in the upper-inner section of the WPA. It relieves some restriction and doesn't clog nearly as fast.
Thats totally fair, and no I wasnt taking shots at anyone. A poor attempt at humour if anything. I dont own as many vapes or have anywhere near the experience as some folks on the forum. Just speaking to my opinion and experience thus far.
Absolutely subjective, as some people have far more physical tastebuds than others. I'd still fully disagree with anyone saying its not better than average flavour, however.
Starting at temp 1, moving through 2 and finishing at 3, is pretty spot on for me. Not sure what these cigarette smokers are on about, Angus has really good flavour at the lower temps. 🤣
I got this vid from YLL, and I'd suggest all owners use this technique to open the CU, and preferably while warm if it is gummed up. The plastic flange that holds the screen is a bit delicate, and you need to be careful how you apply torque to it.

I see what you're saying, so they've gone to the trouble to be properly certified but not to maintain the proper marking? I think I'm on the right page now.

This explains the issue far better than any of this noise. I concede, the spacing matters; I just wanted to see it stated as such.
So you are saying, that the website that was provided above, which states. verbatim:
How do you affix the CE marking?
The CE marking must be visible, legible and indelible.
The CE marking must consist of the initials "CE", both letters should have the same vertical dimension and...
