Thanks bud, that was seriously fun and I am kind of out of breath!! LMAO!!
I did the test in my basement on a carpeted floor. I do not want to drop this and mess up the finish.
I started at 4 foot and knocked it off and sent it flying, stayed together.
Moved to the 5 foot table and same process...
I will get onto it right now! But the grinder will be empty...
Good idea to see if the magnets are strong enough to withstand a 4 to 5 foot drop!
Be back...
Possibly some very fine, decorative knurling would be nice.
There are quite a few patterns available as well.
I quite like the honeycomb one, relates to our uses as well.
LOL!
The visual alignment would be getting the parts twisted around to form the name over the 3 parts.
A game to waste some...
@Summer
I searched for synonyms of Facet and one of the better options was Phase, another word for Facet.
I do not like the ring of Facet grinder at all, sounds too harsh on the ears.
I have to agree with you though, as I have said from the start it is the manufacturers choice unless put up for...
Thanks!
Keeps it local and that is awesome!!
Since it has facets that cause the bevels, why not use a synonym of facet?
Phase grinder.
Also works due to the various teeth and phases the herb will move through when being ground.
And looking for Brilliant synonyms comes up with Lucent, having a...
I understand what you are saying but once you set your favorite temp with the carb cap, you will have to find your uncarbed temp and find your draw speed again.
They do not own it anymore...
The new owner has it now and it's his decision what to do with it.
@HexNailAva
Is this something you would be willing to do for the community?
If it's software we could always just torrent it.
The EQ bowl should fit and then I just drop some bud in and go, never tamp it down.
Carb cap adds more heat as it slows your draw down. Almost black ABV...
Hex Nail is officially done!
New owner has liquidated the company and that is it...
Apparently the previous owners had a large undisclosed debt that sunk the new owners...
RIP...

@TheFatBastard
I see you used C for your temp, do you mean F?
If you have your controller set to Celsius, then you are way too got.
I run mine at 325 Celsius, around 620 Fahrenheit.
Use a fine grind, an EQ basket for micro loads, no carb cap and you should be blowing monster clouds with ease...
@MoltenTiger
Even with the beveled surfaces it sits very securely on my desk.
It has never tipped or moved once.
This grinder is actually quite heavy and stable even though it looks nice and light, it's a different story when you pick it up.
@GreenHopper
Spot on!!
I just checked the inside now that I am running correct geometries and NO ring!
Same bud as well!
They are working on making them compatible and have done a few design changes.
Fine grinder may or may not work with coarse/med, still unsure.
Coarse and Medium are going...
The top and bottom parts are identical on the outside.
I thought about something around the outside to keep it fairly hidden.
Or even something small and detailed in the center of the top to differentiate them.
So many options!
I like where they have it now, around the bottom of the center...
A lot of the info is in the thread already.
It is on page 1:
Materials used are:
7075 T651 Aluminum
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7075_aluminium_alloy
This is an expensive AL alloy that has strength comparable to many steels.
Mostly used in the aircraft industry.
Anodizing bonds to the oxide...
