Glad you're enjoying the AirCore Dog there Puffers.
It can show a little delay in heat recovery since we've removed some of it's mass.. just part of the ups and downs of design. That's why I've kept the standard core at the size and mass that it is for so long (and plan on continuing on with...
@taelen20 - glad to see you sorted things out man. There is a certain amount of downward drift in the output as the components in the power supply heat up but it shouldn't be permanent as you noticed. The output voltage is limited by some modifications we've made to the circuit. We're trying to...
@AdmiralAlpacha - thanks dude! I worked hard on them so I'm glad to hear people are liking them. I'm happy that all our stems now have a formed screen, they basically eliminate most of the issues UD users have with the old style.
Alright everyone, all outstanding orders have been packaged and...
Yes and no.. the AirCore was made for optimized use with the Nylon Stems and the 18mm NonG.
The primary visible difference between it and the standard core is the lack of the top star washer on the top of the core. The internal spacing (air gap) is changed a little too but that's not something...

The difference(s) between the AirCore and the standard UD are all internal to the stainless steel core. The AirCore has a slightly reduced thermal mass and a slightly changed air gap inside the core. The airflow is effectively the same between the two types (as close to unrestricted as possible)...
@llamaman001 - They don't actually exist but if I were to make them they'd fit any UD that the Nylon Stems fit, so any current generation UD (ie most sold in the last year or so)
@Crohnie - so many *onGs right?!
Thanks for letting us know you're interested in seeing a 14mm NonG everyone.
Just going on guesswork here but I think if we can line up interest in 50 of them or so it'd be worth the time for me to tool up the equipment and make a batch of them for you all.
Headed to the shop, lots of custom...
It's bits and pieces of your material popping, I like to think of it as an auditory indication that your Dog is running at a good hot temp and is ready for business. Take some hits with an empty stem and you'll find there is no popping..
Yeah those are the exact symptoms of a dead/dying...
Ah, ok, it's possible you could have benefited from a little higher voltage or a little longer heat up time to fully bring the steel and wood up to temp.
If after more experimentation you find it's still doing that you can always send it in and we'll figure it out for you.. it's not all that...
Thanks for the feedback Sleepin, not too critical at all.
All the points you bring up are good ones and we looked at many of them during R&D and testing but for various reasons ended up lacking many of them on the current designs. I'll try to keep my response short but also address some of them...

Cool, just figured I'd make sure about the turning it carefully.. sometimes it's easy to zoom past a particular voltage. Anywho, if you decide you want more juice just let me know and I'll take care of it for you.
All in all how are you enjoying the VVPSs so far? We've had a couple bumps in the...

Yeah that's normal(ish).. I have their output limited to help keep temps in the UD appropriate range.
The output range of individual power supplies will vary though because of the +/- 5-10% nature of the components used with the overall range being about 12.5v to 13.5v. That particular one...
Good question man, I don't know. We only have a few testers that are part of the FC community and I haven't heard from any of them in a while now. Maybe they're all couch-locked?
@ Sleepin - Nice Dog Pack you've got there man.. I like your various VVPS/Battery stacks too, looks like...
@ Sleepin - answered your message.. thanks.
@ Kid - ah, gotcha, if you don't mind the lack of a taper I could easily make you a half-length (or whatever) stem, anything between 2 inches long and 4 feet long is doable. :p
Lol.. awesome picture Horror!
@ Kid - I don't know that the demand is there for enough of them so probably not anytime soon. That being said I've been told the regular Nylon Stems stick in a 14mm GonG joint pretty good even without a taper. Maybe someone can verify that for us?
