Sorry Jake I missed your first question back there a bit. The stock wall-warts we sell in a 2 pack for $20 + shipping. They output a near max voltage for the Underdog of 13.25v approximate.
The purpose of the butter is to condition the wooden body of the Dog and keep it looking it's nicest...
I'd look for a different one based on the 'small print' down in the ad that says no loads over 500ma are recommended since the UD is going to require 600ma+ :2c:
If you're using the VVPS you can turn it 'off' with that (knob all the way left) which I was at first advising against but am ok with now. Or you can do what Magic indicated and leave it in the 9-10v range but I'd say off is better. ::shrug::
Alright Dogs, hope you're all having a good Monday -...
Oh ok, cool. If you do find that your Dog runs too hot you can add a VVPS to fine tune the temps to just where you want it. Alternatively a cheaper and lower tech solution is to get one of the DC extension cords from our website and add that to the end of the wall-wart cord. The extension causes...
Since you're using a VVPS you can probably rule out a voltage change causing a rise in heat but there are a few possible things it could be, or it's possible that it just feels hotter but actually isn't. Late here and I'm tired after a long day but I'll throw some ideas out below..
Voltage wise...

Hey Dogs, we're back from our travels and are even mostly caught up on the backlog of work that piles up when we take even a day off.. I think there's 1 order that didn't ship today but will tomorrow. Emails we're mostly caught up on as well but there might be a straggler or two that we're still...
Like this one that I made custom for someone and liked it so much I had to make myself one? :brow:
Next to a smallish Twig from this latest refresh for comparison.
Yes the smallest/lightest density pieces have the fastest heat up times, for those I usually allow 10-20 minutes. Once you find a routine most people hardly notice the wait as it gives them time to load stems, etc. These things don't heat up as fast as a portable (obviously) but I think they get...
Hey Scott, sorry I didn't get to it earlier but I just answered your email regarding this question. :)
Since other people might be wondering as well though the answer is 'yes' but only for UD users, the price we're charging for this is currently $29.99 and includes Priority Shipping.
We're...
@Toastface_Killah - hi and welcome to the community. I do think Log Vapes are a great class of vapes and a frequently overlooked one at that. Obviously I'm a bit biased as usual but I think Underdogs are very easy to maintain and basically require no work other than not abusing them too much and...

You're a good man Yoosh and I hope your friend enjoys the Pup! We can definitely discuss a new piece and I have tons of wood in stock (literally, tons lol) or you can find your own if you prefer. Here's a partial list of some woods we have off the top of my head:
Incomplete wood list:

Wood in general does indeed move as it gains or loses moisture so you're probably not crazy. All the wood we use is stabilized in that it's either kiln dried or air dried for years so this is minimized but never totally eliminated. Knots are tricky because the grain is interrupted so they can...
@VaporsVaporizer - nice looking piece of wood there Vapors, I'll keep an eye out for it and let you know when it comes in. Once it's here I'll get your piece made and shipped off to you, shouldn't take more than a week once I get it.
For those of you who are looking at non-custom Dogs I'm...
@catbird - the Nylon Stems are definitely good to be run in the dishwasher. Hot water is fine too though I wouldn't recommend actual boiling temps as that might be too hot. To clean mine I use the test tubes they ship in, fill it half full of ISO and add a pinch of salt (coarse ground) and shake...

Heya pwnapple, there's no negative impact to the Dog or the GonG for you to use it like that so no worries there.
If it's bugging you though you can totally send it back in to us and we'll fix or replace it for you if you like. It also shouldn't affect the airflow or anything else. :peace:
